Same here.  Something about firefighters teaching little kids to get out of a burning building.  Actually, the woman I talked to was very polite, but I didn't give.  Two problems with groups like this.  The first is that almost always their fund raising overhead is very high, not much goes to the firefighters/kids.  The second is that if you give to them you get put on a suckers list that goes to others; your phone will never stop ringing once you donate.  And often, you are dealing with the evil telemarketing group Xentel.
