The numbers are spoofed and it takes time for them to catch up with the illegal callers. They receive thousands of complaints daily if you stop and think about this. They can't get to every one right now this minute, they have to compile a case, find the perps. And for every one they take down, several more pop up. Some of the scammers are in other country's as well. Thats a lot of red tape added on top of it. If the other country's bother to co-operate that is.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

they called me today also..Card Member Services or Account Member service are the same. I have filed numerous reports to the DNA complaint form as well as the FTC and FCC..I don't understand why they haven't stopped them either. They call from an assortment of fake numbers..all which when called back are not in service. This is such a big scam...is the government to far behind in technology the can't stop them...or are they just not trying.. These agencies are suppose to protect consumers from this unwanted and illegal activity..but this is not happening.

Best thing to do is to go to donotcall.gov and fill out a complaint form after you have been on the list for 31 days. Then link back to here in the comments at the end of the form

The card service scammers WILL "service" our credit cards, BUT, when they finish "servicing" them, they will have no available credit remaining!

THE BAD NEWS: Card Services calls aren't going to stop anytime soon.
THE GOOD NEWS: You can retaliate, reduce the misery, and even have some fun.
RETALIATE:
Waste these turkeys' time. Keep them on the line by acting like an interested prospect. Give them bogus data, including a combination of two different credit card numbers, scrambled Social Security digits, and a modified ZIP Code. Important: provide a credit card company's real 800 number.
After they call the credit card company, you can give them the same credit card info as before with two of the numbers transposed, thus causing them to make a second verification call. Or you can respond, "Guess what ... H-O-O-N-N-K-K [from a $6 air horn] you've been PRANKED! Call back tomorrow for more bullshot." Now they're the butt of your joke.
REDUCE THE MISERY:
Landlines. Enroll for the free service at nomorobo.com. Simultaneous ringing, a free feature many providers offer, enables nomorobo to receive, answer and, after one ring, automatically hang up on nuisance telephone numbers.
Cell phones. Block the number, an option that becomes available on the iPhone if you click on the "i" on the right in the list of recent calls and scroll to the bottom. Unfortunately, Card Services will keep calling from new spoofed numbers, which eventually should motivate you to retaliate.
HAVE FUN:
Turning the tables on the perpetrators with mischievous deception and the news they've been duped provides instantaneous vigilante satisfaction. Plus you serve your fellow call recipients by slowing down this evil operation's efforts to defraud them.

Called it back - got "not in service" recording. Most likely the lower-your-interest-rate scam.

In order to get arrested they would have to go to court and testify and give there name, address, and affiliation with what businesses and banks. In a court of law you have the right to face your accuser. Do you really think credit card services is going to do this?

another call from "Account Services", my cell is on a do not call list, get one of these a day

I carry my phone at work for emergency reasons. I rejected the call from an unknown number 2 times. The third time I answered and got no answer. Came into my office and googled the number to find they are a credit card scamer.
Scott 2014-03-27 15:20:43 Unknown
Just got a call on my cell...answered but didn't say anything for awhile, then said hello...they hung up.
bubbath 2014-03-27 15:17:02 Unknown
AWESOME! I did roughly the same once and then pretended I had the FBI tapping the call when I said "officer, did we talk long enough for you to get something?" SLAM! Here's to hoping she had nervous caca the rest of the day.

another scum bag called hey lower your interest rate scam. I report these every time I get them to the FCC and they do nothing. I think the FCC is a joke, you never hear them shutting anything down. Oh well I press one and hit the air horn into the phone.

I also try to waste their time....

good way to get arrested. I do not suggest impersonating any kind of govt official.

received missed call from above number. called back to see what company. number is not in service. 3 hours later got another long distance out of state call. same issue, same response to call back.
on do not call list. have been receiving several of these. Getting old
Asskicker 2014-03-26 21:07:13 Unknown
WELL DONE ! That's the kind of 'response' that they need to hear from us. Waste their time and discourage their continued commission-based employment.
Asskicker 2014-03-26 21:04:07 Unknown
I couldn't agree more. As the addresses of these outlaw and criminal operation centers are made known to our vigilante group(s), we make arrangements for 'disruptions' to their services. Please send replies and info to relane420@gmail.com

Try this, when you push 1 to speak with someone just say..."This is SSA (whatever your last name is) with the FBI Fraud Unit and you need to remove my # from your calling list or I will file a request for a formal investigation? BAM!!! I did not get anymore calls from that particular company!
Tom 2014-03-26 20:06:39 Unknown
The callers are the drug-addicted "card services" scammers, who call us, pretending to be associated with our credit card companies, in an attempt to fool us into giving them our credit card numbers, so they can rip us off. People that have given their card number to these junkies have suffered severe financial losses. Beware of these lowlifes, and warn others, before they are cheated!

Mel 2014-03-26 19:11:37 Unknown
Actually, warning to all. There was a recent warning about this kind of call. My husband told me about it. A number comes in that you don't recognize, they sometimes only ring once, and hang up. Or they don't leave a message. When you call back, it is a number that is international, charges a ton of money per minute to call, and it puts you on hold for a long period to rack up the cost, which then gets added to your phone bill. There was a warning about it on my radio station too. So if you gets calls like this, don't call back. You could end up paying for it.
Also, national do not call list, while free, only applies to domestic companies and callers. Businesses and telemarketers and scammers can call from international numbers that they re-rout to make them look like they are domestic, like from Georgia, USA. National do not call does not apply to calls made from outside the united states, and there is currently no way to regulate or stop those calls. So even if you are on the do not call list, you can still get these unwanted calls if they are re-routed from outside the US.

I kept the moron on the line for 14 minutes giving bogus information. She eventually caught on and called me a mother f*****. I asked if she would please call again tomorrow so I could waste more of her time. She hung up. I am commuting so I have the time to kill.

Receiving unwanted calls for "lower your credit card interest rates" when I don't have any credit cards. The following numbers have called. (229) 207-9632 from Colquitt, GA and (229) 368-9671 GA, USA. Several others, but I just blocked them and didn't save them. When I have answered, they try to lower my interest rates, and when I say that I don't have any credit cards, so who they hell are they and how did they get this number, they hang up.
