Same scenario, i took my car to dealer for a software recall and now getting phones from this number.

I also just had my Honda in for a simple oil change and tire rotation.  And then the calls started.  And on my cell phone no less.  Horrifying.  I never answer a number I don't know.  But I decided to google this number and lo and behold bumped into all of you people having the same thing happening to them.  From a lawyer I spoke to, this is illegal for Honda to be sharing our phone and contact information with companies we know nothing about and have not given our approval to be contacted.  

I smell a class action suit here.  Either that, or Honda has to stop doing this.  Anyone else who feels this way, let me know.  Happy to pursue it.  

I took in my Honda last week for a minor repair, so count me in among all of you getting annoying calls from this number. The first time I answered, nothing on the other end and they hung up.  Now I just keep ignoring the number whenever it calls.  I'm trying to see if I can block it with my wireless provider because it's annoying the hell out of me, constantly calling at the most inconvenient times.

This is clearly not directly from Honda but the fact that the caller, whoever it is, gets our numbers after we get service from Honda indicates either that Honda is handing our numbers over to third parties without our permission or there is a breach of Honda's database and a security issue they should look into.

THEY CALL AFTER ANY DEALER SERVICE.  IT APPEARS TO BE A ROBO DIALER FOR HONDA SERVICE.  FREQUENTLY HANG UP BEFORE WE CAN ANSWER (VERY ANNOYING).  CALLS AS LATE AS 8:30P.  WHEN WE DO CONNECT THEY WANTO TO KNOW IF SATISFIED WITH SERVICE ... ALSO, IF YOU DECLINE OPTIONAL SERVICES THEY ASK WHY YOU DECLINED "IMPORTANT" SERVICES ... IMPLYING A VIOLATION OF WARANTEE.  THIS APPEARS TO BE A DEALER 3RD PARTY SOLICITER WHOSE FUNCTION IS TO INCREASE THE DEALER WRITE UP MARGINS FOR SERVICES.  OUR RECORD SHOWS THAT OUR HONDA DEALER IS UNCOOPERATIV E WITH WARANTEE SERVICE.  WE SHUN DEALERS THAT FOLLOW THIS FORM OF CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP AND WILL NOT RETURN TO THIS DEALER.

I had my Honda serviced two weeks ago, and just got a call from this number too. I use Google Voice, so I have an MP3 of the call. It sounds like some mumbling at the beginning of the call, silence in the middle, and mumbling at the end. What is this?!

I just got a call from this Michigan number but I own a FORD...and I've not had it serviced in a long time.

Have answered a call from this number three days in a row .  Nobody is ever on the other end .  When you call back you get a recording telling you to answer the call if you want them to stop .  I HAVE ANSWERED THREE F***ING TIMES !  Stop it Honda !

When I called them back, the automated messaged stated that they are the Honda Research Center.  The automated message stated that it was performing research based on service I recently had with Honda (which I did).  They stated that it performs these surveys in order to improve the customer experience.  They also stated that it will make an attempt to contact me up to six times before terminating contact altogether and that I have the choice to opt-out.

I love my Honda, and don't mind participating in any type of customer improvement.  The next time they call, I will answer.  I don't mind being a part of anything positive in making a difference no matter how small.  

I won't answer to sale calls and other unwanted calls, which are the calls I normally receive and ignore.

We've also recently had our Honda serviced. I called the dealer to inquire and they claim (!) to know nothing about it. Their only suggestion was to answer the phone. Not gonna happen.

I did give the woman the number that's been calling and told her to Google it and see for herself. If they care about their customers so much they'll do that.

We're about to buy a new car and this will be one of those factors that we weigh when we make a decision.

Just go a call this evening from this number. I took my car in for an oil change from a local Honda dealer. The Honda service people  called me later in the day to ask me how I felt about the service. They usually do this. I don't know why I am getting a call from this number since I was already called. Needless to say they did not leave a message.

I've had three or four calls from this number, no one responds when I pick up.  We have two Hondas and both have been serviced recently!

Honda North Danvers, MA is where I got service at. Then this annoying phone call at 7:00PM!

Got a call asking if I serviced ly Honda, yes I did and I don't mind customer service calls but it was very unprofessional and way beyond business hours. They should train their source in completing proper surveys.

keep getting calls from this number while I am busy....Finally answered and told the rep to leave a message the next time they do call...Unfortunately I lost the caller while speaking...Got another call this morning, again with no message...I wished that Honda would e-mail instead of calling which costs me money....I pay enough for labor costs when going into their service stations.

I just had my Honda serviced a week ago and these calls started coming daily.  I refuse to answer the phone if I don't know the number.  If they don't leave a message the first time, I refuse to answer the next tiem they call.

They keep calling and hanging up when we answer. It's been about 2 weeks twice a day. Very annoying!!

The only word comes to mind after reading all the postings is "eerie."
I had similar, if not identical, experience as the aforementioned Honda Consumers.
I too had my Honda serviced and approximately two weeks later, received a call from the exact same source but did not leave a message.

Has anyone called Honda Dealership and made a formal complaint?
Has someone hacked into Honda's database and obtained personal information used against us?
My goodness, I seem paranoid but I do believe that they are legitimate concerns.

I got a call from this number when I answered, they hung up and then when they called the next day, I didn't answer.  We don't have anything to do with Honda like the other callers.  This is just weird.

We get calls in the evening for this number and it says HONDA.  Tomorrow we will call our local Honda Dealer and report this number.  We have never answered and they leave no message.  Seems suspious.
