stop calling!!!!

Received a call from 310-448-6034 on May 2, 2013 at 6:29 PM ET and a second call at 7:17 PM ET. Caller ID Name was William O'Neil. Didn't answer phone because I don't know anyone or do business with anyone in California, so why should I answer a California phone call.

well just another number to add to the list of jerks that call.  Have caller ID and will not answer.  I push talk and hang up  When are the feds going to enforce the law.

You shouldn't answer such calls.  It can possibly someone trying to use your phone number to steal some of your other personal information.  If it does not concern you, or a family member, you should report the message to whatever jurisdiction deals with such matters, and leave it to them.

Please do.  They called me constantly 5-6 times a day and I'm starting to get extremely annoyed by them.  
I would really appreciate what the BBB does so that I could try out your method.  Hopefully it'll work out for you and for me.

The FCC does not allow these calls to cell phones however, which has bee the case for me. This company is clearly in violation of at least some FCC regulations regarding calling known cell phone numbers with marketing questions

I received a call tonight from this number.13 minute research poll, which after seven minutes became an aparent push poll, slamming one candidate with negative statements and asking if I was very concerned somewhat concerned or not concerned at all.

Cheap tactic.  If I vote, it will be for the guy they slammed.

Left no message. Just another scam call.

For 8 years, since I got my current phone number, I've been getting calls for Angela Baxter. A message is usually left on the voice message system. Sometimes the caller wants to collect money. Sometimes the caller is vague about the reason for the call. This evening, a different caller I.D. showed up. Caller I.D. showed "Research Center" and I made the mistake of picking up and answering. Some young, sweet thing with an accent demanded to speak to Angela Baxter. I have no idea who Angela Baxter is and said so. The caller hung up.

In violation of Calling Time Restrictions:
Unless a telemarketer has a person?s prior consent to do otherwise, it is violation of the Rule to make outbound telemarketing calls to the person?s home outside the hours of 8 a.m. and 9 p.m.

I also have received calls from these idiots...even after i blocked it with at&t.  My next step, which is one i want to share with those who are also being bothered, is a solution my mother (a long time ago) used when we used to get prank or "dirty" calls as they used to say.  You first have to get a whistle.  Then, the next time they call, answer, and when you hear a human voice, blow that baby as loud as you can right into the phone.  We never got a prank call again.

This call comes in several times a day.  This has been happening now for several weeks.  I see the number and caller ID and do not answer.  Getting real tired of it.  Wish it would QUIT!!!!!!

That is what I do when I get a call from this number or anyone else I do not know.  Pick up and hang up immediately...Maybe and hopefully they will get the hint and take my number off their list.

When I get a call from Research Center or anyone else I do not know I HANG UP afer the first ring.  They have called me three times today and I just hang up on them.

I have had many calls from this number and it shows up as Research Center on my caller ID.  I call it back and get an automated message saying it is Mountain West Research Center.  The message does not allow me to request that my number be removed or even allow me to speak to anyone, but it does inform me to their website - mwrcenter.com.  I went there and got the company phone number, which is 208-232-1818.  I called it and option #8 on the menu is to be added to their do not call list.  I went to that and got a live person named Jesse.  I gave him my number and he said it was entered.  Hopefully that puts an end to the calls.

I am on both the State & Federal Do Not Call List and these idiots call anyway.
I do not answer calls from companies I do not do business with, or from unknown callers... Only people I know and business I do business with.

This caller is apparently using "Spoofing" to make the Caller ID display a name and/or number different than the correct one for the real phone used to call and harass people.

They just called and do not even have the courtesy to leave a message or say hello!  I am on the do not call list and have been for over 2 years. However, I also work with hospitals and study groups for health trials in the world of medicine. This is very disturbing to me!

I'm not going to answer an unknown number from a different state.. especially one that never leaves a message, calls outside of normal business hours, and consistently calls on an hourly basis. How did my number and my boyfriends number get on their call list?? My boyfriend gets a call, and I get a call a minute later. Its annoying!!

Called three times in 2 hours & that included a call at 9:40pm. Answered the 3rd call & said to put me on their do not call list. Going to report them now.

Woman with asian accent asks for my husband and I just hang up.  Caller ID said Research Center.

STOP CALLING ME PLRASE.

constantly get hang up calls from this number. 231-224-2032. wish i had their home number.  never have answered so no way to know anything about me.

just to add, i had identity theft 6 months ago by info taken from a card reader at a restauant supply store. had to be a member to purchase there.

to me this is the same thing that happened but on a much smaller scale.
i got calls like this in the amount of 25 a day on average.
i changed my number and this is a straggler call that sounds just like the original band of thieves.
the police called them cyber terrorists.
the best thing to do is not answer because once you have, they got something to work with.
they have also been called scam "artists" by the police because they pick up and move every 2 weeks and bounce signals of of cell towers. one i traced was in Dubai India, hence you accents you speak of.

repeat calls unwanted

This phone number from THE RESEARCH CENTER 231-224-2032  have bugged me for at least 3 months. I have talked to them and told them I was on DO NOT CALL LIST, AND THEY DON'T CARE!! I always let the answering machine get the call, but last night they calle me at 9:45 P.M. and at 10:20 P.M. I was in bed, and this made me mad!!! I screamed at them at the 10:20 call,but I let the answering machine get the 9:45 call. they had already called 2 times yesterday, so this made 4 times!! I wish something could be done about these calls. I am elderly, and sometimes it is hard for me to get to my phone, and the calls are very annoying!!

Tell them to add you to their own do not call list and get confirmation they will do so.  Wait two days. Magically, the calls will stop. If they don't, ask for a supervisor who will add you to the list.

Richard thank you for the info, they will not stop calling me! I always get super excited when my phone rings (thinking it may be my family or friends) but then it's them! I wonder if I can charge them for giving me false hope lol :)
