This number has been on my caller i. d. every day.  The one time I answered, I couldn't understand what the man was saying.  I told him I didn't have time to answer questions.  But, apparently, they have called every day since when I wasn't here.

we have been receiving these also, so I called the number back, it is a research center (Mountain West) that says since they don't sell or solicit they are exempt from do not call list.  You can go to their website:  http://www.mwrcenter.com/ContactUs/index and contact them to be removed from list.

I got a call from this number on Friday night. It was a homosexual sounding man on the line(lol) and he asked for someone that wasn't me, but the last name he used was mine. The first name he asked for is no one in my family. I'm not sure who sold him the information, but it was wrong. I simply told him he had the wrong number, and he hung up.

These idiots call 5-6 times a day, but there's never anyone on the other line. You can't call the number back. I googled the number and can't find anything. STUPID!!! #  231-224-2033 Says Research Center.

This is just another scum telemarketer operating with the complicity of the State of Michigan. The Michigan Attorney General claims that "spoofing" is why they can't do anything about these criminal vermin, but that has become the standard excuse for lazy government employees who refuse to the jobs for which they are vastly overpaid.

Got call from foreign sounding person who is obviously using automated connect equipment that only puts a person on the line after there has been an answer of the call on the receiving side.  You can tell because of the blank period between when the receiving person says hello and when the calling side comes online.  She asked if she could speak to <my name> but appeared to just be reading that in real time from her prompt screen.  She wanted to do a short survey about issues in my area.  She would not say what the issues were, just that they were issues in my area.  I asked how long and she said six to seven minutes.  The first question she asked was what year I was born.  I told her I did not want to do the demographics up front until I knew what the survey was about.  She hung up.  It was very unprofessional.  If it is an actual survey group, they are really bad.  Sounds more like a group that is interested in collecting personal info up front and then doing a lame survey on the back to justify the call.

Got a call on my cell phone which I did not answer! Who are these people. I am registered on the do not call list and it doesn't seem to help.

They've called several times over the last few days. I answered once, and they asked to speak to someone that has never lived here. We've had the number 9.5 years. I told them they had the wrong number yesterday, but lo & behold, they called again today. I am SO sick of these phone calls. I honestly do NOT understand what they get out of harassing people.

Called and asked for my ex-wife. At first I thought they might be a collections agency, but based on other user comments, they sound "legit" albeit annoying.

It is a Michigan Area Code, but the Michigan Yellow Pages don't show any such listing.  The actual location of the business seems to be:  Mountain West Research Center 1110 Yellowstone Ave #227, Pocatello ID 83201.  That is apparently a mail drop.  It appears that this company is taking great pains to avoid scrutiny.  Clearly this is an unsavory operation.

I have written a cease-and-desist letter to the above address, and letters of complaint to the Attorneys General of my state, Idaho and Michigan.  I encourage all readers of this site to do the same.

Got a call from this number this afternoon. I didn't answer since I didn't know the number. Not pleased to hear the amount of times others have received calls from this number! I sense a lot of annoyance coming my way.....ARGH!

We keep getting this call for 231-224-2033; however, when we pick the phone up no one will talk.  Getting very tried of stupid phone calls about nothing.

Mandator LOL I would keep records of all their calls in your case, because even those who have surveys are under federal law to a certain point, although not as stiff with political surveys.
