Just got another call from this number...they promise a gas card ...they claim they know your last four of a VISA card you have...I hung up before they could get much further as my sister had just finished dealing with them a few weeks ago, and I looked their number up this morning.

Got several calls from this number today (on my cell phone).  I didn't answer the first two, but they were very persistent so I answered on the third call.  It was a company identifying themselves as Vista Marketing.  He said he was calling to let me know that I was to be receiving some gas vouchers in the mail and that I only needed to pay $2.95 for shipping.  I asked how they got my phone number and he could not tell me, said I made a purchase recently from a company that forwarded my information to them.  He proceeded to tell me how they only have the last four digits of my card number, yada yada yada.  I asked him to please take my name off their list and told him that any charges made to my card were unauthorized by me and I would pursue legal action. I am very creeped out by this phone call.  Suggestions?

I'm surprised you wasted that much time on the loser.  A business doesn't employ rude people, but crooks do.  And businesses have managers, but crooks don't.

I have no order and no order under my Fax Number so this is an obvious scam. I block their number on my cell and will be reporting them to the FTC since ALL of my numbers are on the Do Not Call Registry.

I am having the same problem.  I do not know who these people are.  Will not answer my cell.

this number calls me every 30 min
i have yet to answer i googled them and they are from McBain MI and its becoming stupid
if they keep calling ima tag it when they call this is so dumb

I've been getting Calls from them for the Last Month. and Today I called back. and Got this Recording about Them Calling me about a Package. It's Totally a Scam! and I'm Excited for them to Call Back! ;-D

I also got a call from this number 231.337.2142. They've called me 3 times already for the past 2-3 hours. Def marketing or junk phone call...urgh..

When I finally answered the 9th call (in less than 4 days) from this number, the caller identified himself as Michael Broderick.  I'm not positive this person is a telemarketer. Perhaps he is trying to pull off a "heist."

He said he was calling about my VISA account and gave what he said were the last 4 digits of my account.  He then began to tell me several things I could expect to receive in the mail.  I interrupted to tell him I don't take unsolicited calls and am not interested in receiving whatever he's selling.  Then I hung up.

Also, the caller is persistent. I didn't include 8 or 10 calls received earlier last week from 231-337-2142 because they have fallen off my "Missed Calls" list.  No message was ever left in my voicemail.

Same thing happening to me...question though. Has anyone ordered from Amazon lately?

Someone from this number calls me several times a day and I have about had it....they call back to back and I dont answer bc I dont recognize the numbr..hopefully we can get something done about this!

This # 231-337-2142 has been calling me every day for a month sometimes twice a day.  I have not answered because I do not answer calls from #'s I don't recognize and I do not call back if no message is left.

It is a telemarketer trying to sell gas card rebates.  I answered phone thinking area code was my sister that lives in MI. I'd just had surgery and this man called-- first he said it was in connection with my Capital One Visa card--then he went into his pitch about a rebate card--$29 a month.. I told him I'd just had surgery--wacked out on pain pills and could not make decisions --so no.  He kept talking so I hung up. He called back 4 more times--I secreened calls and did not pick up-- trying to rest after surgery--ringing phone not helpful. On fourth call one of my family members answered and told him to F** off.
I've contacted the do not call list AGAIN and Capital O)ne Visa-- any more calls from any telemarketer and I'm shredding the card after being a Cap One custormer for about 18 years.

I kept getting calls from another #. Now this one has stared. I am going to do what I did with the last, answer the call as,
" Mesa County sherrifs department. How may I help you?" It worked for the last one. They hung up immediatley and have not called since. I hope it works for this # as well.

This number calls and leaves no voicemail.  I returned the call only because I also use this number for business contacts - an automated recording answers and asks to 'confirm your order' - press 1 if you do not want us to call you to confirm future orders or 2 if you do not want to be contacted regarding orderrs??? belongs to Lucre Inc in MI - per web searches this company is a scam.  FYI

I received 4 calls on my cell phone yesterday within a 4-hour time period.  I didn't answer the first 3 calls (they didn't leave any messages), but I called the number.  I got a recording that this call was regarding processing my order--no company name, etc.  I did punch in some numbers, but each one asked me for my phone number.   I answered the 4th call.  They knew the last 4 digits of my credit card number.  I was immediately suspicious because my cell phone number isn't associated with my credit card.  They asked me if I'd watch my mail for free gasoline offers and I told them no,  they have no right to call me because I'm on the National Do Not Call List--they hung up.

I've reported this information on 2 other websites.  I found it very disturbing that they would have my partial credit card number AND my cell phone number.  Only about 4 businesses have access to information on both numbers.....

I have received 5 calls today. i haven't answered and they never leave a message. my boyfriend works for a national phone company and is going to see if he cant track them down to make it stop. it is obnoxious!

I don't think they can, I think they have to get a hold of you to then try and trick you into giving information or at the very least some sort of 'go-ahead' to send you out something - of course I could be wrong I'm just speculating, but if they are calling so many people randomly I doubt they already have our info

Just got a call from this number, and called it back, got same message as Tim.  I haven't ordered anything.  They better not send me or charge me for a thing.

They seem to call incrementally. I don't answer as I suspect its just call center scam trying to convince you to give them information as if you've already purchased something from them. I called the number back from the line they called me on and a different line and I got the same message both times "this is a call regarding your recent order, failure to respond to this call will not affect your order, press 2 to be put on our dont' call list... ..."

I'd recommend people ignore/block calls from this number, thats just my gut

Just received a call from an EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY RUDE young man from this number, who called himself either Sean Johnson or Shawn Johnson. The number is from McBain, Michigan.

They keep calling and stating that they are "Mrs. XXXX" (using last name of one of our owners), then hang up when I put them on hold to check it out.

they were looking for some dude named brandon. this is like the 4th call i've gotten for this dude, from different numbers.
