I got a call from 1-234-567-8900 yesterday, Friday April 18, 2014.  I did not answer nor did they leave a message.  The call came in from Salem, OH.  I am in Toronto and I know no one in Salem, OH so I did not answer.

Got a call at work from this number. Phone display "SALEM OH". Did not answer it.

Interesting, I just registered an Internet domain with the phone number they called. Coincidence?

Did not answer unknown number - blocked it after reading here. 1-234-567-8900 looks like a spoofed number (consecutive digits).

Will not stop calling and no one is ever on the other end to tell them to stop calling our business all of the time!

I got a call from this number several times in the past month. They are stating I am transmitting something from my home computer. Anytime I ask them something direct-they end the call.

I gothis call from the 234-567-8900 telling me that they were from windows and that my computer had windows go to the computer there was a problem and they would fix it. I was out of town and I also knew that the call was bogus. Microsoft is not going to call everyone that has windows. They knew my name and physical home address. Scam of some sort. I kept them talking until they hung up.

lol i did the exact same thing.... googling the number and finding that im not the only one getting it. some are saying the got a message, but i didnt get one... it says salem ohio for me. but this is my first call, im kind of confused how they could have gotten it bc im usually really careful but who i give my number to... ugh. these people need to get real jobs.

They call saying that they are calling about your credit card account.  They get this number from your credit report somehow.  If you check your credit report, especially TransUnion, they phone number they are calling will be in it.

Here are some working numbers for that ring of scammers that you can call and harass right back. 1-877-891-1348, 1-800-943-3250, 1-888-878-1014. Ask for Chris or the compliance officer. I just called 34 times in a row and scared the HELL out of the girl that kept hanging up on me. If they tell you that they are calling to 18 district police on you or something like that, tell them to blow it out their a**. There is no such thing as the 18 district police. LOL. Let's give them a run for their money!

I did not answer the phone but am annoyed that these people have my number. I have been receiving weird calls, some in spanish and other in English coming from Miami. i just want my number removed from this junk

The call came through saying they need to speak with me about my interest rates and there was not a problem with my cards, which I don't even have. I was given the option to press one to speak to a person when I did she came on the line started to give me her spill and I told her I only pressed one to ask that she remove my name from the list she said,"I can't because you pressed one and your stupid". just ad it to your reject list on your phone, that should do it a least for while. If they star to call you from another # repeat step one. The use a computer program to call , so don't bother trying to be nice or nasty to them.

Someone has called me everyday for a week and claims to lower and consolidate credit card rates. When I asked to be removed the retard representative hung up. I think it is a scam.

I tried to ask this person where they were calling from and asked them not to call and they hung up

I just got a call from this number. It was a recording saying it was my "second notice" to lower my credit card interest rate, and to press 1 to talk to a "friendly customer service representative." So I did that, the phone rang a few times, and I heard a guy say, "Hello?" I thought the number might have been routed to some schmuck's home number, so I asked who it was. I forgot the guy's name, but it might have been Roland -- "This is Roland from Credit Card Services." "Okay, WHAT credit card services?" "Mastercard, Visa, American Express, you know..." "Okay, please remove my number from your list." *click!*

I received a call this morning February 12,2009 from a lady at 10:55  from phone number 234-567-8900 who said I had a problem with my credit card. I immediately hung up.

....when you receive any call you do not reconize...DO NOT ANSWER!!! If it someone who really knows you, they'll leave a message. GOOGLE the number! If it comes back as one of these scams, answer the phone but don't say anything. Many times the dialing software/computer will think it a bad line or modem and won't call it again. It's worked for me.

I just recieved my phone not more than 3 days and I had this number call me. Didn't answer cause it I havnt gave my number out to anyone yet.

Got a call from 234-567-8900. Didnt answer and no message was left. Caller ID said "OHIO caller". I called the number back. Voice message said I had reached Dallas Fielding at RIPCORD.
