(Port St. Lucie, FL) --- Received another call today (Sunday, 3/9/14) from the same agency. Again, did not answer; the caller left no message. I phoned back and the male voice answered, "Hello-hello." I hung up this time. I'll file a complaint with the FCC. To file a FCC online complaint: http://www.fcc.gov/complaints.

Yeah, the do not call list is not a do not call list. It's a list of phone numbers that is most likely in service. The scammers pay a few bucks to get this list and wa-la. They now have a list of numbers that will mostlikely be active... It's a whole lot better than robo dialing 1111 to 9999 where a lot of time is wasted on non issued, or otherwise not-in-service numbers.

Receive 1-2 calls every day. No message & have no idea who they are.

Caller said he wanted to lower my mortgage rate. I asked how he got my number and if he paid any attention to the do not call list. He said he would take my number off his list. I told him I would report it.
Too bad the government do not call list is such a joke.

Recieved multiple calls from this number to an emergency medical line associated with hospice. I informed them that this was for medical emergencies only and asked how they got the number. She laughed and hung up without another word.

(St. Lucie County, FL) --- Just received a call on our home phone 3:15 p.m., Tues., May 7, 2013. Did not answer; the caller did not leave a message, so I called the number back and was directly switched to a fella in a boiler room (could hear all the other voices in the background).
I asked him what they were calling about (did not attack him personally). He said they were "going to lower our interest rate..." and I cut in to ask if they are our mortgage holder. "No, we offer lower rates and I'd like to check the name...", he then proceeded to spell our last name and ask if that was correct. I told him I would rather not give out any information (knowing that they already have our home phone number) and asked how they had our info. He told me they got it from "the credit reporting agency" and I told him we are on the Federal DO NOT CALL list. He very nicely said he would immediately remove our number.
That better be the end of it.
