I received a call and was asked if I was at my computer as I had downloaded malware and they would be able to help me remove it. A few minutes later I received another call without any message.

I hung up.  I am on the do not call list and wonder why are they calling.

Received numerous calls in the last three days, I have not answered them, let it go to Voice Mail where it recorded some song and dance about being my "Last Chance" to repair my Credit Card problems (I have Zero balances and an 805 Credit Score). It's a scam, report them if they continue to call. Jerks like this should be reversed billed for every call they make.

Please block this number from calling mycell phone.

Just got a call from them now!!!  Exactly what everyone else said, on calling back "This is a promotional number....etc."  They called my cell.  If we can report them somehow, that would be great.

I suspect that pressing a number actually ADDS you to a long list of OTHER phone numbers that are valid, for marketers to call.  Because it entices the receiver " YES I WANT TO BE REMOVED" and so the unknowing sap presses a number, therefore verifying there is a Real person on the other end of the phone.
SO DO NOT EVEN PRESS A BUTTON. If your phone comes with a reject list feature, just add them to it.

So for now, the Telemarketers don't have to "talk" to any one. The robo-call does the work for them. Then they compile the list of actual people and track them down thru reverse phone directory.

Yogie, that is a great idea! My Palm Centro contacts list only allows one whole contact list but has different categories you can divide it into so I created one called "blacklist" and set it's ringer to "no sound". It now works the same as your idea, just in a different way!

Go ahead and file with donotcall.gov, but also call your cell phone provider!

Some providers like Sprint have registries that keep track of numbers that are "pestering their customers" and try to block them from their entire network. Others may not have a system like this in place. You can either call your provider and file a complaint, or for AT&T, do the following:

Send a text with the problem number to 7726. That's a free message since it's an AT&T system. They keep track of this and block problem numbers from their WHOLE network, so it won't bother you or anyone else again.

Well this number has decided to call my cell now 4 to 5 times a day. I added the number to my contact list named it  "Don'tBotherMe" then set my ring tone to "no ring". Working so well that I decided  to add the X wife's number as an alternate number under the same contact. Only thing I can say is SWEET!

I should call the 239ers and thank them for lowering my blood pressure in a round about way.

I have had repeated calls from this number.  When I pick it up, there is no one there:

Where are our law enforcement on these calls?  I've been getting them for over 4 years and have excellent credit and no outstanding bills. Maybe THAT's why they are trying to victimize me!  We have been on the DoNotCall List since its INCEPTION, yet we get these calls almost daily and nearly ALL of them VIOLATE the DNC law.

This number called at dinnertime on a weekday, but fortunately we were not home.  No msg left, which is ALSO ILLEGAL if the calls are ROBOBDIALED, which most are.

I will submit my 1200th or so complaint to the FCC, for all the good it does.  These calls are often generated OVERSEAS using SPOOFED (Fake, with real number HIDDEN) phone numbers and are attempts at ID THEFT and PHISHING for ways to access peoples cash accounts.  LAWS are being broken right and left here, but NO ONE SEEMS to CARE,  Its time to locate these calls centers in whatever third world backroom sh*thole they are in and NUKE them!

If you received this call on your Sprint Network, then you can do the following:
*2 talk to a CSR and have them block this number from coming into your phone. So far you can block up to 50.
I just finished talking to them, and they are going to take it to their legal department to see what legal ramifications they can proceed forward with. If everyone would call the cell phone and land line providers and complain, then maybe the "Big" companies can lobby for different legislation to put a stop to this! I have filed this  number and all numbers with "Sophia" voice recording on the DNC list as well, however, I think it's just a site for people to file complaints, I have never read or seen on TV anything every being done to fine or stop this type of practice.

A quick Google search on this number identifies it as "Credit Card Solutions."  I'd be wary of phishing from any company who makes a point not to have a callback number.

I just filed my complaint!

Just got a recorded call from this number.  I dialed #4 to talk to an employee.  I wanted to ask them not to call my number anymore.  When the person came on the line, I asked, "What is the name of your company?" and she hung up on me.  The recorded message and the employee announced their company as "Credit Card Services".  But I keep googling and can't find an actual company by that name.  I did report this on the Do Not Call website.

Received call did not answer. Getting all kind of weird promotional calls lately. Cannot call them back and say anything. I am on do not call list for what good this seems to do. Very frustrating paying for a phone that can receive all kind of aggravating calls.

They called my cell phone, did not leave a message.  I called them back and it stated they are a promotional company and cannot receive any return phone calls.
