Two calls today from Consumer Credit Service. These people need to be hunted down!

My phone number has been registered with the National Do Not Call Registry for over one year. Lately I have been receiving "Out of area" calls with no "call from" number given. If I answer the call, there is only dead air on the other end until the call disconnects. Days after receiving these no "call from" number calls, I receive "Out of area" calls with various "call from" numbers -  239-719-1388 (one call) ; 770-306-4985 (four calls); and 202-499-1479 (one call).  The calls I have answered were pre-recorded messages regarding lowering your credit card interest rate. When I did speak with a human being and requested my number be removed from the company's call list, I end up receiving more of these junk or scam calls. I have filed complaints with the FCC and the FTC regarding this type of call. However, neither agency handles individual complaints against a junk caller. Additionally, my telephone carrier has a "Nuisance Call Center" that captures every single phone number that calls its customers. However, when I called its Nuisance Call Center and requested that the call center look up the number for the "Out of area" calls I had received that had not shown a number on my Caller ID and file a complaint/report with the FCC and/or the FTC, I received nothing but double talk from the NCC reps I spoke with. (I was told by a NCC rep that the phone company cannot release the "call from" number to its customers. Nonetheless, the phone company should be able to release the call from number to the proper government agency in order for the calls to be investigated and appropriate action taken against this type of telephone call.)

Regarding auto/robo calls and cell phone numbers, if H.R. 3505 passes, cell phone numbers will no longer be protected from auto/robo calls. If you are interested in learning more about H.R. 3505, please research it on the Internet.

Called, left no message. Going to ignore it. Hope filing this doesn't open me up to more calls or emails.

3rd call in a week from this number. Calls at all hours, 4:15am, 5:35am & 6:27am.
The do not call legislation is a joke, it doesn't stop or even slow them down!

Received call from 12397191388 at 5:12 on Nov 7.  ....one of those credit card ones -- "LAST CHANCE"!

Why can't we get these stopped!??!??!??!  When I've asked to be put on "Do Not Call List" they hang up so fast!

Verizon only allows five numbers to be blocked; other scams called more often and have used up our five blocks;  they only stay out in verizon's data bank for 90 days; then we're required to reload the next highest volume scams that are wasting our time - a new form of evil to take our joys away!  Imagine a world where people used their time to add value to other people's lives instead of this crap . . .

This person keeps calling but doesn't say anything. It is very annoying.

Left no message......why can't a government agency step in and do something about these types of call?

I got a call from this number that showed as a missed call - no voice message!

My caller ID says the call is a cellular call.

This is a scam number.  They try to get information out of you to get credit card informaiton.  The are mass calling people and you have to say hello twice before they even answer the phone, that's why all the no messages.  They wait to see if someone actually answers.  Scam scam scam.

They call at all hours and over many months.  How can we stop this?

Keep Getting these calls, the caller I.D. Says  VO241249260042, Whom ever it may be there who process is to be unidentified.

I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number and they didn't leave a message.

Received call about credit card when I spoke with the man I was going to tell him to remove my number from his list but he hung up on me before I could finish!

Called 10/22/2011 at 11:20 a.m.  No message was left.

Got a call Oct 20, a recorded message to press 1 to lower credit card rate.

Hurrah for American small business! In response to your constant innovations to generate business and capital, I changed my default ring tone to silent, the Missed Call/Message ring tone to something quiet and pleasant.  Everyone in my Contacts list has a basic ring tone. Works for me.

Got a call 10/18/11 and answered it. Offered to lower credit card rate. Asked to be removed from their call list and they hung up on me.

Why do you answer? If you don't answer, your minutes would not be used.
