Just when I thought I had heard the last from these filthy, little animals, I received a call from someone claiming his  name was "John Felix" (what is it with these clowns - do they think every white person in the US has "John" for a first name?) In any event, this "John" was calling to tell me I had won 3.5 million dollars! As it turns out, this SHLF (Sub Human Life Form) was NOT connected to the scam operation that contacted me two weeks ago. In that scheme, I was contacted by a "John Baker" who instructed me to get a Green Dot Money card from CVS to pay my registration fees because I had won 2.5 million from "Mega Millions." As a previous poster mentioned, these calls are being placed via Magic Jack and the audio quality is very poor. So poor, in fact, I had to abandon my recording of the call just to understand this worthless porch monkey. In order to once again pay for "registration fees of 5%," I was instructed to obtain a Money Gram for $499.25 and that I would be sending it to "Lloyd David Cook, 5201 Vermont Ave, Los Angeles, CA" Let me rush off and do that now.

And that is exactly what the "moaning ladies" scam is about.  They want you to call them so they can steal money from you.

NEVER call back a number you do not recognize.

New scam number this evening +2392247200 this one rings 5 times rang Vodafone wasted my time ''we know, nothing anyone can do'' welll i did something this scam is being run by Tama communications, Suite 2013 Level 20, Tower 2, Darling Park, 201 Suxxex St, Sydney, Australia.
Phone  +612 90063345. It works by paying people to make calls on preminum phone lines they pay bonus of $5000 if they make 1000000 calls, check out web sites www.tanacommunications.com in australia or for our scammers in san tome www.premiumskytel.com.
the usa is just one of the sites they are setting up.
Comreg and Vodafone cant do anything but i can get this information by myself what does that say about them Pay our wages, pay our bills and keep being the sheep.
I am more then p off.
I told Vodafone tonight if i see ANY charge on my bill i will move my account after 14 years.
Im sick of being ripped off by our own now we have outsiders doing it. If comreg or vodafone were being ripped off it would be a different story

Hi, I am 086 and not Vodafone so I think it's all networks effected. My father is 085 and also not with Vodafone and he received a call fom this some time ago.  My opinion is that whatever they are using to select the numbers is going in numerical order and has now reached the 087 prefix this is why so many Vodafone customers are getting these calls around the same time.. When I called 02 back wen I got the call they also knew about it..

I got called from +2399890138 a couple of times but ignored it. However as it was the last number in my call history I inadvertently called it by hitting the call button. 33 seconds ?2.47 Voda bill pay. The moral of the story is to delete the number from your call history as well.

they are using 2 numbers +239 9890113 / +2399890138 this is a island off the african coast.
Its a scam which you will be billed for.
I have spoken to Comreg they know all about it and the best they can offer is report it to the guards lol as we can do nothing with the scams going on here i thought he was joking.
Rang Vodafone they know about it as well when i suggested they block any numbers with a lot of calls coming from +239 he said they could not as it might stop business calls i thought he was joking

I also received a call from that number this morning, like many others it only rang once but I did not answer. I am also a Vodafone customer with an 087 number in Ireland. This is clearly a scam!

Just got the same call, as somebody else said im on a 08761***** number, guess it's an autodialler of some kind. Glad I Googled it before calling back.

I just got the same kind of call.  Went off after one ring so I rang it back and was on the phone for like 5 seconds and it cost me over ?4!!  Is there anything we can do?

I recived a call this morning from             +239 9890138       which rang once so i rang it back it was a recording of a couple having sex. I rang COMREG as i did not know and thought they could advise me. I was suprised to find they know about this scam and told me it was from an West Aferican Island. There was nothing they could do about it and i could contact the Garda. I asked why i had not heard of this and he had no answer. I was not happy and rang Vodafone they tell me they know about this but as it was coming from out of ireland there was nothing they could do.
I think you should check this out at least let people know +239 numbers are a scam and will cost you money.

I'm 087 on Meteor, just got the same call from +2399890138, luckily i didnt answer

I got a call from that number at 7 55pm on march 26. I called it back and it was a woman moaning as if she was having sex. I am 087 with vodaphone.

Also keep getting same missed call, I have an 087 number but am with meteor. Meteor seem to have blocked you from calling back though, so that's good.

Hi Everybody, I also got such a call from that tel.no. in Sao Tome and Principe Island. W. Africa. I have challenged Vodafone about their complicity in charging their customers for such scams and effectively gaining financially from an illegal act. If the cost of my reply to that missed call appears on my bill, I will leave Vodafone in protest and lodge a formal complaint against Vodafone for fraud with the police. I have confirmed with the Com Reg office that this is an illegal scam but they seem to be too stupid or disinterested in either blocking this number or taking any action against Vodafone or whoever. got a call on Tuesday 26th March at 9 38 am fro +2399890138 I am on vodafone 087 I have previously got 2 missed calls from same number on my work phone which is o2 086 its obviously a scam of some kind will report it to vodafone but doubt if they can help

Its not a Florida number guys. +1 239 etc is Florida. The international code +239 is for some island called San Tome off the west coast of Africa! Well dodgy id say. I rang it back and started moaning and a girl answered saying she would be my wife so i paid for her flight and she gets here Sunday. Cant wait!

Both myself and my sister have gotten calls from this number this morning. We are both on Meteor but with 087 numbers. Thankfully, I Google searched the number before ringing it back!

As above 087 number but on meteor missed a call about half an hour ago. Thanks for the info.

I just got the same call five minutes ago. Also in Ireland with Vodafone. Should somebody report this to Vodafone if all the calls are going to their customers?

hi all i am writing on behalf  of my father who also got a call from the number +2399890138 @ 19:30 26/3/2012 (yesterday) we were unable to call it back for some reason my father is also vodafone i think its a scam and whoever it is is after hacking in through vodafone some how i am reporting to vodafone i also found out that the number is from a place in  florida called fort myres thats what i got when i googled   it on my phone last night but i also got something called treeline corp which the number above is that companys fax number and their address is 3820 colonial blvd 100 fort myres, fl33912 so I dont no but when i report back to vodafone i will let you guys no what they say and if they have ant more info about it :)

Got one too and ditto to the moaning girl.  Paid ?5 for about 2 seconds before I realised what I was listening too.  Am also 087 with Vodafone.

Yes, got a call also from this number 2399890138 yesterday at 19.05 and answered to moaning girl....total scam.  I'm goingto contact Vodafone & COMREG today
