The government that they worked for takes care of them. They get excellent pay packages, and benefits.  There are many hard working people who do not have the advantage of using the POLICE name to collect money for them.  Pass on it.

Just received a phone call from this number.  Caller identified himself as calling on behalf of the fraternal order of police and that the call would be recorded.  Assuming that the caller was asking for a donation like they all do.....pretty persistent fella with a written script, so I politely hung up.

I just got the same call and thought I would try to check online if it's legitimate. Does anyone else know?

I received a phone call from this number. A man's voice identified himself as Steve Durham from a fraternal order of police. Said the call was being recorded and asked for money to support families of police officers who were killed in the line of duty. I refused initially. then I called my local police department who said there was a fraternal order of police who collect money. So I don't know if this was legit. maybe it was. What do you think?

I got a call from this number showing it's from Frederick. The guy said he is from police station and I believed it is a police scam and hung up
