The only way to fight these scum is to take advantage of every avenue available which is NOT related to  a supposed government or commercial service.  What I'd like to do is write an app that can do an NS Lookup on their domains and then send about 100 abuse notices to their ISPs.  The other thing would be to capture their phone messages and pull out what is need to repeatedly send complaints to the CRTC.  One complaint may go unanswered, but 100 might get their attention.

I can assure you, it's not Rogers fault. There are many complaints about these numbers...& in my mind, I call it 'telephone spam".
The numbers come from the US...& the "National Do Not CAll List" does not apply to the US. I think the secret is not to answer the calls. In time, they'll stop..hopefully.

You're likely very right. They are 'autodialers'...& the National Do Not Call List does not apply to calls coming from the U.S.
I too don't want to spend extra money on a block feature. I pay enough as it is already. I do believe the secret is not to answer these calls. While we are being disturbed with the calls coming through, answering is confirming that the number exists.
If your phone company can do something for you....good! When I reported a number, I was told there wasn't much if anything they could do, & the rep suggested I subscribe to the block feature...which as stated, I will not do. In time, I could envision a multitude of calls coming through..from various numbers & you'd just wind up with the block list being full.

If you answer calls from the number, you may simply be confirming that your number does indeed exist. I don't know why have to put up with so much 'telephone spam".
These calls don't always come at the same time every day...but my advice is not to answer. In time, they'll stop calling.

The organization that is making these calls is comprised of nothing but w***es. Plain and simple.
In a perfect world, everyone would realize that with absolutely no exception, there is no value in anything companies that place these calls do.
It would be great if we weren't so democratic, that we could actually hunt down the idiots that bother to make "marketing" (or whatever they want to call these) calls and torture and execute each one of them. I don't care if others think that is extreme, or if someone wants to try to claim that research calls or political calls have value (they do not) and shouldn't be included in my round up. The people who work for these companies need to die and the building they are in need to burn.

Have had a few calls from this # in the past few days. No one there.

We are with Rogers and getting these calls 2-3 times daily. 240-318-1614 It is annoying because I keep my phone volume low due to a napping child and rush to the phone for this!!!!

Past few weeks everyday I received a call from 240-318-1614 twice a day, I answered the phone no one there.   My phone has block caller # option.  I blocked their #.

Yes, when I answered, the recorded voice said she was "Hannah". I fail to understand why these calls are coming from the U.S., yet they are getting through to Canada.
I don't have a block feature on my phone, & I refuse to subscribe to it, thereby costing me more money. My number is also on the do not call list, but this seems futile. If these calls persist, I am lodging a complaint with my phone company.
I'm fed up with being disturbed with this call...they called me 4 times yesterday.

I have been receiving multiple calls from this number. One time, I answered only to hear a recorded voice stating her name was....whatever. I hung up immediately. This is quickly becoming extremely annoying to the point where I'm about to lodge a complaint with my telephone company, IF that does any good.

From my gatherings the area code is from Maryland. I am in CANADA, we do have a no call list. However telemarketers from the U.S.A. are not legally bound to this as per CRTC Regulations (Same as the FCC In America". So they use the "Do Not Call List" provided by the Canadian Gov't to solicit calls. SHAME ON YOUR MANAGEMENT. Using this. Now, all Americans are not bad people !!! , However the exploiters are not nice at all. Hope somebody from this company reads this and if you wonder why Canadians vs. Americans are received worldwise with different respect qualities, take a good look at yourselves. Shame on you and stop making your AMERICA look bad.

I too am receiving calls from this number. We JUST switched from Bell to Rogers and JUST got our number on Saturday. This number has been calling NON STOP since we got everything hooked up on Saturday.

Why would you get a call from the US for something about Ontario Eco Energy?? My home may qualify for a rebate... For the third time, we said we are not interested, but I guess the automated caller does not get it. From the research we did, this program ended almost two years ago. The fact they are calling outside Canada is a big red flag

I receive calls from this number at my phone at work daily, sometimes few times a day, during the last 2 weeks with the automated message from "Hannah". I am in Ontario, Canada.
Don't know how to stop it. Quite destructive.

I have been receiving between 3-5 calls a day from this stupid number. I called it back only to reach "hannah" go along with it.. you will reach a live person. They just end up hanging up on you. They don't listen past hello.

#240-318-1614 Calling 3-4 times a day.  Answer the phone and there's no one there.  If you stay on long enough it goes to a busy signal!!!

I have been receiving numerous calls from this number.... very annoying.

In Canada been calling for weeks, no reply, would like to tell them to take a hike....

IT IS SOME ONE FROM THE STATES IN WASHINGTON, I CALLED THE NUMBER BACK AND I GOT THE COMPUTER SOUNDING LADY ASKING WHO IS IT AND I SAID NOTHING AS I DON'T WANT TO TALK TO A COMPUTER, AND THEY SAID ARE YOU THERE, THEN THEY HUNG UP... MY MOM HAS BEEN GETTING THESE CALLS EVERYDAY AND HAD 4 CALLS BY 12:00 PM THEY SOMEHOW GOT HER HOUSE NUMBER AS WELL SO NOW THEY ARE CALLING HER CALL AND HOUSE.... AND IT IS ASKING ABOUT IF YOU ARE THE HOME OWNER AND STUFF, HOW DO YOU GET IT TO STOP!!!!

Contacted rogers and have unliated my number for all telemarketers. Free!  Or you can pay a fee for this number which is rediculous as I cant seem to reach them or get them to stop.  Hope this helps others

Calling daily!  Today 5 times within 1hr. I answered twice  its for eco information.  Why do they keep calling! Stop it!

I called this number back and received a computer animated answering named "Hannah". They are apparently from "EcoEnergy" and tell you that your home qualifies for a home energy audit or something like that.
