Received call today from this number.  No response on the line when I answered.  Voice mail may have picked up before I got to it, but there was no message left.

This is one of the numbers our troops use when calling from Iraq.

I believe it is a military satellite phone number for the marines.

That number is from the military. When they call from Iraq, it gets patched over someone in the U.S. and then they patch it to you. So, it takes a while for a military person to call you, cause they are being patched through. It's not just for the marines, it's for all types of branches.

It is not a scam its loved ones calling home idiot.  Some may have wrong numbers and besides there may not be an answer right away because it takes time to send the signal all that way hello they r thousands of miles away!

It is not a scam.  My son-in-law is stationed in Iraq and he just called me from this number.

It is true it is a miliary outbound number from Iraq my hubby calls all the time.

My Fiancee called me from this number also. He's in the Army, and stationd in Iraq.

my friend calls from this number. he's a marine stationed in iraq and they have phone accounts that they put money on to make outgoing calls.

Yeah its all true i am a soldier in Iraq and i was trying to see what this number was on my wife and i cell phone bill and i fill so stupid cuz the time these calls were made were the times i usally call my wife so yeah guys thats what it is lol.

yes this number is a military satilite number it is actually a civillian contractor that military personell call from iraq and afganistan so yes you husband is going to be pissed off when he sees this number and i hoppe like hell he fionds this message

I just received a call a few minutes ago from this number. There was definitely someone there, but after I said hello for the second time the person hung up.

Girl ... Your "fiancee" is a CyberWhore. He's been communicating with me for years. Wise up. He's always gonna be "still in Iraq," his parents are always going to "have an emergency--their house burned down ... I had to send them $80G's to rebuild ..."  yadda yadda yadda. The guy is a FRAUD. Has female contacts on multiple sites. Will tell you he's "retired military working in Iraq..." etc. You will NEVER see the light of day with him. Move on and live your life with someone who is honest and worthy of YOU.

This is one of the numbers that show up when we use the internet based phones from Iraq to call back to the states, if you get a call from this number is just someone here in Iraq trying to call to you in the states. Just a port that is used. I use it all the time.

You guys, C'mon be Nice- My ex is serving in Iraq, he calls our son using a calling card that gets routed thru this number. He explained via IM that the calling cards are hard to come by, and then, they have to wait two hours in line to make a phone call and they just get 20 minutes to talk.  Don't give them a hard time. Maybe they just want to hear your voice, their children's laughter, the sounds of home.
