Received a phone call from man with heavy, eastern Indian accent wanting to correct error messages that my computer was apparently "sending" to their IP.  He identified himself as "Windows Service Center."  I asked him how it was possible that my computer would send signals to his company when I have no idea who they are and never signed up for their services.  He began double-talking and telling me that I must "trust him" to get into my computer to correct the errors or my hard drive would "blow up."  Definitely scam artists!!!  They are customers of a legitimate company called Logmeinrescue, and purchase remote access service from this company to scam innocent people.  I called Logmeinrescue to report them, but they deny any responsibility for their customer's misuse of their product.  Logmeinrescue sells remote access services for a fee.  These scammers bought this service and are using it to get personal information from your computer.  "James" is one of the scammers trying to make out that "Windows Service Center" is an above-board company.  Shame on you!

I just got the same phone call as soon as I googled the phone number and told they guy he is actually calling from a telemarketing phone number he hung up DONT FALL FOR  THE SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just received call from this number.  He asked for permission to my computer to correct problems that Windows was seeing.  I denied him any access.

Received multiple calls from this number which was ultimately provided to me by caller with a man's voice with an East Indian accent.  He identified himself as being "Windows Help Desk"  & that they had been getting many error messages for my computer for the last several weeks. Caller tried to walk me through a procedure to "correct" conditions infecting  my machine.  Upon my refusal to perform this process with them  over the phone and demanding written documentation providing proof of their legitimacy and supplying detailed directions identifying the corrective procedures I needed to take, they reluctantly agreed to send me an email which was never forthcoming.

Since a scam took place several weeks ago, I have had repeated phone calls from 000-000-0000 and Unknown Caller with a man's voice with an East Indian accent, sometimes answering them before I looked at my phone to see who was calling, due to driving at the time, etc. After after a few of those, I received a call from this number, this time with a woman's voice, but still with an East Indian accent. More calls after that with the aforementioned ID. Most recently, today, a call came with an area code that I am in constant contact with due to illness, and I answered. It was the same man calling again, now from 661-748-0241.
