i to am getting phone calls from kevin jones wanting to speak to payrool for a wage garnnishment. i told him to send me a debt valadition and he told me no. the phone number i got a while ago was 718-684-9897. i'm working to try and get a cease and dissist order

I received over 50 calls from these people within minutes at work. I am the receptionist so I answer the phone. I tried to ask them in a nice way to tell me what it is about and maybe I could make some type of arrangemnet, but he puts his supervisor on the phone and then they talk about some payday loan I owe and lawsuits against me or 15 minutes. Then he asks to speak with my supervisor. When I said no, he just hung up and continued to call on every available phone line. It is very annoying. I am so glad to hear that they are scamming because now I will try some tactics of my own to get them off my back .They are rude and will make you use bad language while you are at work. Enough is enough! Anymore suggestions on how to get rid of them would be appreciated.

I went to the cops today and they called the 518-688-0682 number and left a message for him not to call me again at work or cell. hopefully this works. You can go to the cops and file a report and if it continues the cop told me to file another report with the cops at work. also, he told me not to verify any information the "kevin Jones" ask for cause he is trying to get you to say yes on tape to get your money withdrawal from your bank acct.  When he asked to speak to your lawyer. get his number and call him back with the police.

I just talked to our middle eastern friend kevin jones @ 518-688-0682 that said I owe a payday loan. He had all my info. I managed to get an address from him:

of course the address is fake and all he asked for was my lawyer.

I would love to ream this dude for all the people he is pranking. Does anyone know what to do about fraud scam calls and voicemails?

Ive gotten multiple calls fron this number and harrassing threatening voicemails. Telling me that either me or my attorney better call back NOW and if i ignore it then all he can say is good luck to me as this unfolds. Today was the latest. I had enough so i called the number bck and got a google vpicemail for i believe a cell phone.   Didnt leave a message but i did get a return call 30mins later. The man said his name was sam cooper. Barely can understand him because he cant speak clear english. Middle eastern as reported by others and when i told him i dont get social security since i think he was saying he was calling me for them. cant tell because he doesnt speak clear but he hung up on me as soon as i said i dont get social security. Beware..... He better not start calling my dang job!

I too have been receiving calls from someone that calls himself Kevin Jones (with a Middle Eastern accent) from the law office of Crosby and Associates.  He called my job and said his callback number is 240-389-0791. He gave me the same line about 3 cases against my name and social security number and legal action is going to take place against me by tomorrow, etc.  I get these types of calls all of the time unfortunately.  I called one of the companies back (and they have caller id so they know who's calling) and told them that I knew they were scam artists and that I reported them to the FTC and to stop harassing me.  That stopped the calls from that number but then it just moved on to other numbers.  This is sooooooo annoying. I wish there was a way to stop them altogether.

have been getting these calls also. However, today they decided to step up the pace and have been harrassing not only me, but our corporate receptionists!  I tried to get a company name, but all they told me was they are a law firm, called Financial Legal Department ---- really??? How stupid do they think I am.

Caller keeps calling my work number over and over - constant ringing.  Says he won't stop until I let him talk to my boss who is in a meeting and not available!  Can I call the cops? I don't know what to do.

I recieved a phone call at work and on my cell phone. They have my full name and SS #. Guy left his name as Carlos Matthews but had a very heavy eastern accent. Said they are pursuing legal action against me and I should call them back immediately. I believe this is related to a scam perpretated against payday loan customers. This is very common. My employer's house counsel (attorney) has already contacted our local police as well as the FBI as we have been contacted by these people before, although using a different name and call back number. The message and accent are always the same, so we know they're just moving the info around a bit. I believe this is probably a Magic Jack phone number, and that these people are NOT based in the US. They will threaten, scream, etc. if you allow them to. Attorney's advice was to screen all calls and, if you do happen to answer one of their calls, as soon as you realize who it is, hang up immediately.

Received 8 or 9 calls from above number today, July 13, 2011.  Indicated they had my social security number and I owe a debt up for legal action. I hung up and would not receive any more calls so individual called my boss at work and asked that I return call to above number.  Caller has some sort of accent so it is hard to understand some of conversation.  I know this is a scam!

I too am getting phone calls from these people but the name is eric that is trying to scam me. I too would like to know how to get them to stop calling. We have even had the police speaking with them and he continues to call

I also receive 7 calls from 204 621 0358 they left 1 voicemail message and the man called me by my first and last name which is scarry and said his name was michael and I could not understand whaxt his last name was but he I think he said he was calling from crosby and associates law firm so I dieled the number back and the automated system said the person at ext 785221 is unavailable. have you called the number and got the same response?  I don't know how to get them off my back.  Any suggestions?

Just received a call at my place of business & on my cell phone.
The guy claims I have 3 cases against my ss# and it is in my best interested to call them back a.s.a.p.

I will pass on calling them back since #1: they call me Liza not Lisa #2: they have poor english #3: they are a scam
And since it is Monday and I am at work: I have better things to do then waste my time with some idiot that wants to tell me I am going to lose my job if I don't send him money.
