In Virginia in 2009*  it is reported that Heritage -Medallion got 47% of the solicitation money and Special Olympics for Virginia got 53% of the solicitation money in the telephone campaign for Special Olympics of Virginia
* latest year for which I could find data.  If that it acceptable to you in you charitable giving to give 43% to a telemarketer.  I prefer to give to the Salvation Army where their telemarketer gets 1% and the Salvation Army gets 99%. Btw the head of the Salvation Army makes less then a 6 figure salary. Heritage Medallion will NOT disclose what their top executives make..  The special Olympics Virginia paid its director 129,000 in 2011

Caller ID says Community Services

Filed a complaint to the donotcall.gov about them but will follow up with Maryland based orgs (BBB, charity oversight & others)

This is to Daniel who is writing on behalf of them.  Stop bothering people at their homes unless they have specifically in writing mentioned your company as allowed to call them at home.  With the number of times you've call and the fact that you have not been given specific authority by the owners of the number to call...you are harrassing people...SO STOP.

They called..it said "community Services"  THey've call twice to my home today.  I answered the latter call and I was put on hold with music then they came on after 30 seconds.  They said they wanted to speak with my husband mentioning his first name.  I said that he wasn't home.  I also told them that we are not accepting telemarketing calls and that I will report them.  The man on the line said that they were not telemarketers but that he was with the police station. Sooo stupid...

On the caller id it says MLEO the first 5 times they left a message with music and people talking in the background after the music and people you would hear someone saying hello, hello in Spanish. Afterward they hung up. The other time I answered and they said hello and then they said my name in Spanish then I hung up on them. THEY KNOW MY NAME!

This number calls me at least 3 to 4 time a day -- everyday!

It shows up as MLEO, Maryland Law Enforcement Organization, Inc.  It is NOT a law enforcement agency.  I've NEVER contributed to them (but I do support our local police) and they won't respect the Do Not Call List.

Caller ID shows "unknown name". I did not answer and they did not leave a message.

The number's not in service, I beleive it's from Maryland.

Called 6/16/2009 5:05pm Left no message but could hear voices in the background. Must be another telemarketing scam.

This number calls me every day! Sometimes 2-3 daily at all hours. I call the number back and it is just dead air. Sick and tired of this!

Called and then hung up on me! How do we stop these unwanted calls.....this is my cell phone and it costs me money!

I hate these calls!!!!!!! ahhhhhhhhhh!  I do not how to prevent them even when I am in the not call list!

I got a phone call from this number and when I started asking questions he hang up. This really annoyed me so I tried calling back and got no answer. This is why I'm online trying to find out more about them.
