They clld my cell #, I nvr enter or give my cell # to any of these contests. I spk w/joni from California? I live in Oregon and seminar is in Washington. I won two trips or cruises. WOW, this is free. you only pay all taxes and fees for hotel and airfare, but you give them 90 min of your time, after which they try (twisting your arm off) to sell you their vacation package or time share. If you don't want it, they tell you to go get your (free?) vacation tickets at some desk in a different room, where you will be for asked for about $19.95 to cover shipping and handling for tickets you won't receive.

Called them back to find out what it is about, which is, of course, to get you into their office to hear their 90 minute presentation hoping that you'll use their services in the future. They are currently offering three levels of "gifts". The first two are varying levels of cruises, mostly in the Caribbean. The third is airfare and hotel to places like Vegas, Reno, San Francisco, Orlando. The interesting part is that you have to pay "taxes" on the trips ("can't escape the government" I was told). For one level the taxes were up to $345 per person. For another it was $245 per person. For the airfare and hotel it was $95 per couple. While those are probably decent prices for the time away that you are getting, they aren't quite "free" (mind you, I don't think they ever used the free word in talking with me). They did have a legitimate email address for me for something I may have filled out two years ago at a show.

Got the same call... didn't recognize the number on my cell phone so let it go to voicemail. The message was from "Maggie" who claimed I had entered a contest and that I had won two roundtrip tickets to Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Vegas or Orlando. I was instructed to call back at 800-280-8603.

Automated caller said my name was selected from a drawing that I had entered. I had won a vaction for two to cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Las Vegas, or Orlando. I needed to be between the ages of 25-70, make over $50K per year and attend a 90 minute seminar in Vancouver, Washington at Vacation International, 12500 SE 2nd Circle. However, the call was from a 204 area code, which is not Vancouver, WA.

These calls are from a scam travel company that sells travel club memberships for $8995. It's a total rip-off that primarily targets the elderly...which is really sad.
You have to attend a "sales" seminar at MoPac and Far West on certain dates to receive the free gifts that they promise. But in reality, it's all a lie and you'll never receive anything in return.
You can read more about this scam from people that have attended the presentations...
