Auto dialer, "You car warranty is about to expire..."   This is certainly a spoofed caller-id which is easy to do these days. The people doing his don't care about Do-Not-Call or anything else. Might be fraud, taking your credit card number, or at best a low-value auto warranty deal. Avoid. I've had similar calls from several other spoofed caller-ids.

I got similar phone about my 'Car warranty' . I asked for written or email information about their policy, the lady said I can not provide unless you buy it. She is not ready to provide website info..or any other info. Don't give your info on phone...complete fraud call.

i am getting calls from this company everyday and have told them numerous  times that i dont need or want a warranty.  they still caLL FROM DIFFERENT NUMBERS.  THEY NEVER LEAVE A MESSAGE THEY JUST HANG UP THE PHONE.  THIS HARRASSING!!!

More robo-calling a***s!!!

Rec'd a call from this number on my cell and ignored it when I saw the number.  Then checked out this site.  Very annoying -- I'm at work and my mother's in the hospital, so I'm keeping my cell handy for EMERGENCY calls.  I just signed my cell phone up for the "do not call" list, so we'll see if they contact me after a month.

I received a call from this number 2406998968 today on my cell phone.. Which annoys me because noone has my cell number unless its someone I know or perhaps a wrong number. I know this is some moron company with a scam becuase just a few days ago my fiance also got a call from this number on his cell phone as well. How the heck are they getting peoples cell phone numbers? Are they unlisted?

Let's first bring down unwanted callers then go after unwanted mailers!  Save trees.  Keep unwanted corporate scum out of our lives!

i have received calls from this number everyday this week, i don't answer b/c i never answer numbers i don't know, and they've yet to leave a message. which is also why i continue not to answer. it's so annoying.

I also just received a call from a town called Buckeystown, Maryland (outside of Baltimore) from this number. Left no Message...

They called about car warranty, I pressed 1 to speak to a representative who I couldn't hear clearly, when I asked her to repeat herself, she hung up.

Called at 2:26 PM and did not leave a message.  I didn't pick up the phone because I didn't recognize the number.

Same as everyone else said.  Just got a call from this "auto warranty" scam.

I have evidence knowing *exactly* how they obtain their numbers though:

I have a Tracphone they are calling that was activated about 2 weeks ago.  It has never been used to make an outgoing call, nor has received any calls yet.  

The phone  number is listed on a corporate website I have, which pretty much says it all:

These people mine the internet for their phone numbers.  Plain and simple.

What bugs me is I pay by the minute and they are stealing my money!!

When I mentioned, "do not call list" the "rep" hung up immediately.  There is a second scam out there (probably by these same people) that mined the same phone number they called on today.  The second scam called yesterday and was calling to verify that my credit was OK.  They claimed to be Experian when I suggested they mined my number from Google.  

Pretty sad that the FTC is so weak and can't do anything about this.

called me at 3:30pm and didn't leave a msg. i called back and a recording machine came on that said it was a non-working number.

Phone-Scam.

I just got this call about 10 minutes ago at 5:30 PM EST. I didn't pick up and no voicemail was left. They called my cell phone, which really annoys me. I'm in northern Delaware.

Honestly, why do these idiots call cell phone numbers? Don't they realize it's technically against the law and that it could impede an emergency call?

Just rec'd a call from this number.. I pressed one to speak to a representative.. When I said something about him calling my cell he hung up on me. Wasn't able to even play along to try to get the company's name  :(

I received a call from this number today 3/23 at 10:30AM EST.  Could not answer because I was at work but they did not leave a message.

I recieved the call and did not pick up but thought to google the number. What a surprise to see so many people have gotten calls and started a form. Good luck to everyone. Thank you.

also received an early morning call waking me up from 2406998968, didn't answer and no message, didn't bother to call it back after reading this..   let find a way to stop this bull..

I get calls from this number weekly. Am sick of this. Sometimes a person is busy and when you have to stop fifty thousand times to answer calls like this it can make ya a bit grumpy!! Isn't there some way to stop these people? Seems to me if a person has an unlisted, unpublished number that should be enough indication they are not to be called. I understand they use "random computer selected" numbers, but shouldn't that be illegal? Also, when did they start getting access to our cell phones? I suppose I am just weird thinking people should respect other people's requests to be left alone.

This is probably because their first-level screener was not available. Good idea though! Keep trying, you'll eventually get through to them and you can try the script.
