I got this call and did not answer for anyone that I do not know.  Then, I google and come to this page.  I am surprise that so many people has been annoying by this number and no action to shut them down?  Where is our attroney general office?

They called at aproximatly 5:46pm 6/17/09 said something about reducing my credit card interest rates & to press 1 to speak to an operator or 2  to be put on their no call list

this call(er), whatever it wants from me, whatever company it is, is an aggressive, frequent and Unwanted Robodialer. There is no way to stop it, no way to opt out. I suspect my cell phone number was sold to It by Chase Bank, because that's the only way it could have got my number. When you think of the aggravations and expenditure of other people's personal resources that 240-699-8971 must be causing, it surely must add up to a felony crime.

I got today about 3:00pm. It was wmans's voice and she spoke about credit card interest rate rapidly. Annoying.

I got a text first, from 837439, saying that it's my credit card and asking if I made a purchase of $207 and to reply with 1 or 2.  I didn't reply I called my credit card company instead and they said that there is no such purchase on my card and told me that it's probably a scam and not to reply.  Then about 2-3 hours later this 240-699-8971 calls me.  I know better than to answer, just googled the number first and got to this page.  This is so annoying, I think it's the same people trying to scam me.  Don't reply if you get a text like that and don't answer from this number!

They keep calling me. They need to be shut down!

This number calls me alllll the time with the same credit card message. I always hit 2 to disregard the message because I don't have a credit card. So finally this morning I hit 1 to "lower my rates", and the ladt answered and I told her "I don't have a credit card." She said, "then disregard the phone call and have a nice day." I said, "Then stop calling me!!!" and she just hung up!! Rude and so annoying that they keep calling!!

If you call back, it gives the option to press 1 to get your number placed on a do not call list. They called me and hung up as soon as I answered.

I got the call today on my cell phone at work.  How annoying!!!!!!!!!

These lovely people like to say hello to me everyday at random times each day. Heh...they call and tell me that they are debt collectors at West _____(never can understand the middle word) Management. When I recieve the message, I should return their call at a 1800 number. What a joy! IF I HAVEN'T FREAK'N ANSWERED THE FIRST MILLION TIMES YOU'VE CALLED WHAT MAKES YOU THINK I'LL RETURN YOUR FREAK'N CALL....
And for finishing touches, I have no debt/credit cards whatsoever. So the calls are not only annoying, but rather pointless because I'd never fall for that damn scam. Little rascals, they are.
And Johnny Cervantes, you've won a million dollars and a couple of Cadillacs several times already. It's a bummer you've given out the wrong number, eh?

I got a call from this number but did not respond/answer. No message left to my phone either from this number.

I missed the call, but read what everyone had to say. First off i have NO credit cards... so they shouldn't even waste their time tryin to scam me.
I called it back and it was a recording of a female sayin if you want to be taken off the list, please press 1 and let up to 72 hours for it to go thru.
How can a number be taken off a list by pressin a button.

If its not in your Phonebook, don't answer it. you can actually identify if you know or potentially know the caller by mere looking at the area code. after hanged up, google it.

They call me once a day, and if they do answer it's a recording.  How can you get take n  off their list if it's just some recording?

I have asked them to stop calling and they continue. I don't own credit cards and I wish they would stop wasting my time and calling my phone!!!!

They just called my cell about 4 mins ago.  I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer.  They didn't leave a voicemail. Then I google'd the # and found out I made the right decision - it's a spammer.  They should just go away!

Just got a call from this number on my cell phone and, like a lot of people, if I don't know who it is I don't answer.  Googled the number and got this site.  Thank God for this site!  I like the person who said they asked for their federal tax ID number - maybe I'll try that too!

it call me at 7:59pm...i answered it and was saying hellow for about 15 seconds before i hung up...i hate when deaf mute people call...

Also just received a call from these people. What was weird was I had literally just hit "purchase" for an application on my iphone and there's the number calling me. I don't even have a credit card with which to lower interest rates... If it's any help I also bank at chase so I don't know if that's somehow related or what...

Please help shut these people down. Never give out any personal information over the phone to people who call and ask for it. Companies will NEVER loss your information!

Just had this number call me.  I responded saying if you don't have my credit card number to begin with your not getting it from me and hung up.
