Somebody call to my mother's cellphone from this number and we live in Puerto Rico. So, I think that it is a criminal telemarketing. If you respond, they safe your number to call you back for who knows what.

This number called me 29.1.2010 14:33 UTC. When I answered the call, they hanged up. Strange. Czech Rep too.

This 'person' called me as well, couple o' weeks ago. I was too busy with my dog to answer and the ringing stopped. Ihen I saw an intl # and really wondered what it was about. I do know folks working at IBM, South-Africa, but their phone # starts with a different area code. An operator @ my phone provider told me it was a hoax..... I live in Suriname as well.

I there, maybe that's the case, as mentioned by Sama. I leave in Maputo - Mozambique and had the same problem with this number, when I answered it at 10:45, they dropped the call. I called my operator and they told me +243 prefix is from Republic Democratic of Congo.
