Same here! I am also from Trinidad and Tobago and I just received a call from the number (October 21st 2009, 6:40am. I answered, no one replied. I called back and it was not working...
It is strange that there are so many people from Trinidad who are saying that they are getting calls from this number... Do you guys think that the person may be local?

+243 is the Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo
phone ringing and jus as i answer, they hang up.
hmmm - I guess they calling hoping the recipient calls back, and then they charge you for calling the number
But the amount of people on those forums that say they get those calls and didn't call back, that can't be profitable to the caller - unless is some ridiculous rate like US$10/min or part thereof
i guess it is a scam

BOTH YELLOWPAGES AND YELLOWBOOK HAVE REVERSE NUMBER LOOK UP FUNCTIONS.
At most you can find out whether it is a valid or spoofed number.
