Stop calling my number

Call the number using call blocking after hours.  Push the extension for sales and leave a message.  Leave a FAKE name like John Wilson and a FAKE company like Wilson's Restaurant and a number that you know will never answer.  

This will cost them time and money because their salespeople will have to follow up on these leads.

They don't ever leave a message.

"North American" phoned here (Northern California) at 8:22 p.m. and left the "I'm sorry, I must have..." message. Interestingly enough, the number they called used to be a fax line.

Rec'd ph call from 248-283-6080, but did not answer. No message left. What sort of a jerk called at 8:47 PM, C.S.T. to interrupt with presumably a marketing message?

These idiots have called before, but now that I recognize the number, I don't even bother answering!

She left a toll free number to call 866 404-0428. I didn't call back.

I got a telemarketing recording for cash to finance a business. Called my cell phone, I didn't answer, the recording was left in voicemail

call came in at 8:07PM on 3/11/08 and I answered it and the recording said "I'm sorry, I must have dialed the wrong number" and then it hangs up. WHAT IS THE POINT OF THAT?!

same number called here and said the same as what the other have posted.

this number is for Capital Merchants, in Birmingham, MI ---if you call them you can opt out of their calling you, but we'll see if that works. BTW, the phone tree says pushing 1 will get you a rep, and 2 will remove you from their calling list, but upon doing that they THEN ask you for your phone number . Pushing 0 gets you a computer voice that says it's an invalid number, then another voice says that you have been removed, and goodbye!  Watch out for this one.....

I have had these before, it is probably a company out of Flordia.  They use a "war dialer"  if they get a fax tone they add it to a list they then sell to blast fax people.  Haven't had one of these in quite some time.  I am sure they are selling it as a whole new idea to a fresh set of idiots who pay to do something that is illeagle (blast faxing that is)

I know how to 'deal with these people' but isn't the National Do-Not-Call List just a big information gathering "Lock Box" that any government agency can access for any 'official' reason (read the 'terms of use' always!).

I had to use *69 since the caller ID is built into the satellite box near my TV, displaying the information on screen when I receive a call.
