I buy and sell Internet auto leads for a living; this is somewhat similar to what this company is doing. I received a call from this number. They are getting your information from some sort of online landing page. The bottom line is that if you call them they must provide you with contact information for whoever generated the lead (normally a sleezebag company) and if asked they must tell you the IP address that the lead was submitted from. We refer to it as the lead source up address. Hope this helps.

Survey
Call came in 9:30AM Saturday morning saying it was about my online application; the introduction had the word Physicians in it and he did not repeat it, but since I'm applying for work online didn't want to rebuff an opportunity.  In the call he said he was initiating an application for a survey to place me in a pool for candidates.  Several generic questions were asked, then he wanted DOB.  I said no, that information was for written applications only.  There was an odd pause indicating call ended, then he suddenly asked me if I was still there and asked for DOB.  I repeated my answer, beginning to suspect an automated questionaire.  There was another long pause that made me check my phone for call ended, when he suddenly said my name would be added to the applicant list and I would receive a confirmation email, was that OK?  I said yes (but wish I'd said no, since an audio recorded "yes" can be remixed and used elsewhere in identity theft.  Then he began a line of questions about whether I'd be willing to go back to school if there were financial aid, and what course of study would I be interested in?  This made me think of marketing for online colleges.  It asked highest level of education.  Then it asked for date of graduation or GED.  I again said "no.'  There was a long pause, he asked again and I said "no".  The call ended.

This is a very sophisticated voice program asking inappropriate questions for an online survey.  It may be geared to identity theft, but I suspect it's marketing for an online school, or perhaps both.  Regardless, it's deceptive from the first sentence.  I'll be watching for the email now, opening it in source document text.

The number is currently on switch number TROYMIMNDS0 (switch is a technical specification for phone hobbyists) Carrier MichiganBell, subsidiary of ATT, switch located in Troy nr Rochester Rd and 15 Mile.  I live nr there.  That area is mostly industrial complex.

My stated desired course of study?  Fraud and Risk Prevention.

Same as the others below stated, said that I had filled out an online form. Sounded like a scam.

Just got the same thing. Joseph is an automated system, can tell from the pauses and the scripted response. Also the company (World Neighbors) they are posing as have right on their homepage a message to the public stating they are not affiliated with this company, and in order to prosecute them you have to go to the FTC website and file a complaint.

Joeseph called from WN positions.  The same voice on the introducty message appeared to be the representative.   It's either some guy running a placement agency out of his apartment or some scam.

Rgarding "job opportunities."  Said I had indicated an interest on-line, which I never did (no idea what they are talking about, since I am self-employed and quite busy, actually).  When I started to say I never did, they hung up on me!  A-holes!

I got a call from the same person at "WN Positions" with the same comments as you. But it seems like a scam because neither me nor anyone from my household had filled any online survey like this.
