This company is probably one of your vendors. If you ask next time she calls, I'm sure she will tell you she is.

Oh, this lady is a fun one.  She called, asked for the "maintenance supervisor," hung up when I said "no, but you may leave a message," then called right back twice, the second time blocking her number.  Cute.

This lady would not tell me her name or the name of her company. Just kept insisting to talk to my manager.

Ummm. correct me if I'm wrong but isn't answering the calls in your "job description"?

Brook calls and immediately asks to have a staff member paged.  Our employee wanted her to use voice mail and although she agreed, she hung up as soon as I transferred her.

I picked up the line and found myself listening to hold music...

Tri-Chem is indeed a manufacturer of industrial maintenance and janitorial supplies.

It is very unfortunate that some people have had to deal with what sounds like a rude and unprofessional representative. During the hiring process some bad apples may slip into the cracks but I can assure you that they are no longer affiliated with Tri-Chem because I work with happy and professional sales team.

In order to build our customer base we do make cold calls; however, we also get inquiries & business reply cards from trade shows that we attend, maintenance magazines that we participate with, our website online (www.tri-chem.com), as well as referral information through existing customers.

Tri-Chem has been around since 1968 and has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.

Someone who actually loves their job

Bunch of crap!  Caller acting like they forgot the name of our maintenance supervisor.... Like I was born yesterday!  LOL.  Said we had ordered some flooring and they had questions about the type of flooring we wanted...  Offered to take a message and they said that was ok, they found the information they needed.  It was very amusing to say the least.  People and companies doing this should be ashamed of themselves.

It's a company called Tri-Chem 431 Stephenson Hwy Troy, MI 48083  (248) 583-0184. The lady told me she was "returning a call" regarding "poxy patches" and gave me  (800) 456-6255 ext 214 to have our maintenance supervisor to call her back. www.trichem.com

I believe they are compiling a database to sell to other telemarketers.

She called me the other day and asked me how my day was. I spat back immediately,"What can I do for you?" She responded, "You can have a great day!"-click.

Caller ID showed Resource and their number.  Woman asked if I would transfer her to our maintenance manager, I told her "NO", she said "Well aren't you a b****, I laughed at her and she hung up.

You are right.  Just called this number back and got a recorded message telling me "This number is used for outbound calls only.  Thank you."  and then hung up.

It's an industrial supply company that cold calls people off of computer generated lists. I have a friend who works there and hates her life because of it.

Thank you all for these posts.  I've been getting these calls for quite some time.  She knows our maint. sup. name, so I would patch her through - when she didn't reach him at his desk, she would call me back and ask if she could be connected to his cell phone.  I've always wondered why she calls so often.  I think I will neglect to answer her calls from now on.

Caller asked for the "maintenance supervisor". Cold calls are not accepted here.  Caller was polite and thanked me. I tagged the number as a fishing expedition.

Thanks for the information. The caller (a woman) left a very friendly message saying someone passed my name to her. She said she was calling from "Resource." I think I will delete the message. Too bad, since I'm out of work but I'm getting very leery of calls like this coming out of the blue.

She's called several times and she's rude.  She's looking for our facilities maintenance supervisor.  She hangs up when you tell her you can't pass the call through without a name and I even answered (and I am the maintenance supervisor) that I was and she proceeded to say "yeah right"  and hung up on me again.  When you try to call this number back it goes to a recording and then hangs up.  How sweet.
