GMAC sold out to Green Tree mortgage. I get several calls a day from them asking to take out a loan or mortgage. It is very irritating but I don't know how to make them stop.

Realize I just posted but checking another site did not know Green Tree / GMAC had a connection!  Now that might make sense!  Green Tree is horrible & hope GMAC has not lowered themselves to that - - - but if so maybe my next vehicles will be TOYOTA!!!!  Definitely so if GMAC has any connection with Green Tree!

Got the call  today also with no message; inclined to believe it is not GMAC even though I own Chevy vehicles NOT financed thru them; have to believe some of the posts that it is Green Tree being ruthless on another number that we just NEVER answer without more than a telephone number with City & State id.

Also had mortgage with Bank Of America which sold it to Green Tree. When this whole transaction took place they also screwed up our account and was trying to charge us late charges because they had not posted payments to correct account. They were threatning everything under the sun as I told them I have had my mortgage since 2006 and have NEVER been late and for that fact our credit score is in the low 800's
and have never been late on anything at all period so go pound sand where the sun dont shine.
Added their number to my blocked caller list on my phone as they then would call 2-3 times a day wanting me to refinance. They are a bunch of very annoying idiots. Before I blocked their number, I told them I had no interest in refinancing, but kept insisting I talk to their refinance expert who was standing by to assist me and they just keep calling.

I too have been getting daily calls from this #- but no message is ever left.  I called it back and it was a recording for green tree mortgage co. Our mortgage was bought out by green tree from Bank of America- worst service since we have been with them. They applied my pmt to someone else's acct and it took weeks to get it straightened out- they were even calling and threatening us- saying they were going to take us to court if we didn't make a pmt by phone- but we had already pd it and had already called them- then they applied to our acct and tried to charge us a late fee- which then took another 5 days for them to correct. Worst service ever!!!Beware- we are switching as soon as we can!

Got a call from this number (2485980358) and Caller ID said GMAC.  Wasn't home and they left no message.  I'm in same boat as many others.  My mortgage used to be with GMAC but after they went bankrupt (last year, I think), the mortgage was sold to Green Tree!  GMAC is no longer a mortgage company so they shouldn't be calling ANYBODY!

My mortgage recently got transferred to them.  I started getting calls from them a month ago, sometimes 4 per day!! They just call my home phone & hang up during the hours I'm away at work.  I've had a mortgage for 8 years and I've NEVER had the mortgage company call me about anything.  I am current on all payments so I see no reason for these endless phone calls everyday.  I keep reporting them to the Do Not Call List since they call under the caller ID of GMAC and I've never done business with GMAC.

I get repeated calls from this number daily, often back to back with one caller ID being GMAC and the other being Greentree Services, but the number is always the same.  BofA also sold my mortgage to Greentree a few months ago.  I don't answer the calls, nor do they leave a message, but the sheer frequency of these calls is getting very annoying.  I'm thinking it's time to start looking for another mortgage lender too.

How do you think anyone reading this on 800notes.com can do this?

Though Greentree may be spoofing the Caller ID (bad bad bad) the fact is Greentree took over a bunch (or all) of GMAC's mortgages when GMAC went defunct. Unfortunately, the "Do Not Call" legislation actually ALLOWS companies one does business with to call you and, in this case, Greentree inherited that legal right. It's nice they'll take you off their spamming list, though - and will try that when they call a-GAIN.

Call about 3-4 times per week, refinance offer from GreenTree.  Called them back and asked for number to be removed from database, stated they would comply.  We'll see...

Same here.  Got 5 calls today & they've been calling all week.  They never leave a message.  Called it back & it claims it's Green Tree so why spoof a number if it's not a scam.  I've never had any business with gmac.

Greentree Servicing is spoofing the number for GMAC.  I've been getting 4 calls PER DAY from them.  Never leave a message.

Getting multiple calls every day starting in August.  It says GMAC on the caller ID, but if you call back the number it is Green Tree so they are spoofing the number of a defunct company.  I don't do business with companies that spoof their caller ID, duh.  I have never had a mortgage with GMAC either.

This number just called and left no message; caller ID said GMAC, same as others have reported.  I'm in the process of refinancing because Bank of America sold my mortgage to Green Tree ~ which research says is a pretty disreputable company.  Wouldn't surprise me if they are using GMAC's number to do some trolling among those newly acquired accounts that are bailing on them!

This so called company keeps calling my phone number. I am getting tired of the phone calls. Is there any thing I can do to keep this so called company for calling?  It gets to be a big problem.

GMAC doesn't do mortgages anymore. Go visit their website. This isn't even a number listed for them.

Go to the GMAC website and it will tell you they no longer finance loans.  Hilarious.  This number is going in my block call list right now.

Got a call this morning as well. Didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer it. But it's strange that since GMAC Mortgage just went bankrupt and sold all their loans to Green Tree Servicing, Ocwen Loan Services and others...why would they be calling people to refinance in May and June of 2013? I *HAD* a GMAC mortgage until they sold my mortgage to Green Tree.

I KEEP getting calls from this number, almost on a DAILY basis! It's annoying! I'm glad I found out what they want b/c they continue to NOT leave a message. I figured if it was important, they'd leave a message, but now it's just ridiculous. If I DON'T answer, & it's not something you want to leave a message about, then STOP CALLING! (is what I want to say to them). LOL SO annoying!
