I just got a call from this number and it was pre-recorded saying " this is a home security giveaway..." when I hung up.
Ed 2011-06-06 20:44:11 Unknown
Got a call today, they did not leave a message, so this number IS NOT DISCONNECTED. I believe some kind of scam.
Rico 2011-06-06 20:44:11 Unknown

same as the others... I reported to the FCC but the calls are still coming... Guess they can't track down this scam artist or even trace the auto-dialer used... That says alot about the effectivness of our tax dollars working for us - or lack of working for us in reality. It's been over a year and they can't trace one auto-dialer...? Very disappointed.

I just got called by the same number today...
Anon 2011-02-09 20:57:01 Telemarketer
I just called back the 1(877) 723-1426 number they left on my voice mail. They tell you said person is on the phone (the fake name they leave). They then ask you to give them your phone number to "look up" the information and correct the "mistake." The woman on the phone was extremely rude and when I asked if they followed the "Do Not Call" list, she hung up on me.
Obvious scam. DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR NUMBER if you call them back.
Cheers.

Got a call from this number at 11:11am MT. I was in a meeting and did not answer. Called back later and got the same disconnected thing. I did not have any weird calls made from my phone like some have.

Just received this call from an automated voice mail- "I tried contacting you last week about lowering your mortgage payment." First call from this number, and I have no mortgage payments. I hung up as soon as I heard enough.

My number has been on the do not call list for a 6 months and I keep getting called over and over like a broken record.

received a call from 248-673-8891 a little while ago. I didn't answer. No message was left.
I'm located in CO - 719 area code - AT&T, with txt'ing service - no job hunting in several years.

Yeah, I got a call from the number and I got the "I'm sorry" message. I also have texting. This might be something to look into.

The question is to look for something in common with each person receiving a call from this number. I am bringing this up because my daughter has received a call from this number and got the same response and I haven't received a call from the number. The only difference between my daughters phone and mine is that hers has texting service and mine does not. That is where they may have obtained your phone numbers.
Cheryl 2011-02-01 22:39:49 Unknown
Same as all the above..... I'm sorry to At&T phone in AZ. But it called a student, not a homeowner or adult at all. I have been actively looking for a job.

Yep, she just called and left the same message about a lower interest rate and the same call back number. I rejected the call and let it go to voicemail and while it did, I googled the number so I knew what the message was going to be.
jack 2011-02-01 22:25:26 Unknown
Got this call and I have a 303 area code. Voicemail left with a girl's voice talking about interest rates. Has to be a scam.
Same 2011-02-01 22:19:39 Unknown
Same rate adjustment as above
Same also 2011-02-01 22:19:38 Unknown
you are probably right

Someone just left a message on my cell saying "this is a courtesy call, please call me back at 877-723-1426. So glad I googled this number. I had no reason anyone would be calling my cell number for "courtesy", I thought it was fishy.
How do you report this and to whom??
Same 2011-02-01 22:12:45 Unknown
My number is 404 area code - Atlanta, GA.

Just got the Lisa Middleton call... Im in AZ using a Sprint company phone...
hey there 2011-02-01 22:09:47 Unknown
Got the "I'm sorry" call a few minutes ago.
Reading through these comments, I wonder if they're trying to reach answering machines to leave the Lisa Middleton message, and if they somehow detect that a real person answered, they play the "I'm sorry" message.
