Just got a call too from same number. Area code is in Michigan. When I answered a man said "I'm sorry" and then hung up! lol

i just received a call from this number and computerized voice came on said 'I'm Sorry' then hung up.

HaHa! I just got the same identical phone call. "I'm Sorry" then hangs up.

Totally creeping me out now. lol :)

I just got a call from this number and it was for some BS thing "YOU JUST WON A HOME SECURITY SYSTEM IN YOUR LOCAL AREA!! STAY ON THE LINE OR DIAL ONE FOR A LIVE AGENT!!!! >:D"

Well I was pretty PISSED about even getting this kind of call, so I dialed one and was getting transferred to a "live agent". SOMEONE picked up and there was sound, I said hello, and was HUNG UP ON!!! I was trying to get to a live person so I could be put on a DO NOT (dont you dare) CALL list...no dice.

I tried to call the number again to get on a list, which I highly doubt there is a list for these people since it is a SCAM, but my cell phone company does not make calls out of state.

I knew there was something funny about this number.  I just got a new cell phone number a few  weeks ago.  This number has come up 3 or 4 times on my phone, but I don't answer it.  I figured since mine is a new number, perhaps whoever had it before me had some bill collectors.  Interesting thing you say about difficult-to-cancel monthly charges... but charging to the cell phone? Or are you talking about a money scam--like the Western Union thing you mentioned?  Thanks for your post and the information!

Got a call from this number yesterday. They left a message claiming that we had spoken on the phone before about reducing interest rates for my credit cards. I don't have any credit cards.

Received a call from this number.  The guy said, "I'm sorry."  I said, "What do you mean you're sorry!?"  He hung up.

Got a phone call from this number about six hours ago. Didn't answer..No voice mail

I also just got a sketchy call from this number.

My guess was that it was from the credit company that has been hounding me, but the 2 numbers they have called from in the past had the area codes of my current state of residence and past state of residence.

Never had heard of this area code before, so I don't know. Either way, it's probably good I didn't answer it. :D

Recieved this (number)call on my cell.  I received it about 1hr after I loaded an app on the phone, so it may have come from that.  They left an automated voicemail about financial security etc.  So be careful when loading phone apps...especially fee ones.

I just received a call from this number, the voicemail stated the name as Dave Edwards, calling regarding a security system. The call came from the 248 number but he left (888)258-4507 as his call back number.

got a call from this # on my work blackberry - a phone number that i've barely even used since i only really use it for e-mail! heard an electronic voice say sorry and the line was dead. Bizarre!

I got called from 248-674-3702, i did not recognize the # so let it ring, i found out they left me a message saying if you need free wireless connection lets know ---- it is scam.

Answered the call, and hear a guy say "I'm sorry"and then hung up.

I just received an automated message saying if I pressed 1 I could claim the free prize of a home security system. I hung up. Nothing more irritating than getting one of those on your cell phone.
