Owner is looking to refi his home mortgage.  Used one  of the online mortgage calculators and he put the OFFICE number into the web site he was looking at and within minutes the phone rang off the hook.  20 calls so far today!!!!  All from different numbers/companies.    Soooo disruptive.  I secretly wish to give them all his cell number for doing this to the office.  He is dealing with someone local and didn't want to talk to ANY of them.  

Had to call them because they called my 13 yr olds phone 3 times in 2 minutes

They are a mortgage refinance company. I believe they are associated with refinance offers from the new home affordability act. It might be a scam refinance company either way but they are not a telemarketer as far as I know. That doesn't mean they aren't scammers or that I am endorse them in any way. I refuse to talk with them too since I don't trust any financial institutions including JPM,BOA,PNC,Wells Fargo or any other of the banking cabals.They fix prices,bribe people and launder drug money. I only do as little business as possible with small regional banks.

312-628-1271 calls us and i have asked them to please stop and they just laugh and call even more. they start early and all day. we just dont answer the phone. thank God for caller ID

didnt answer, havent applied for any loans or mortgages, just a scam !  dont give out any info to anyone that calls you, is my advice !!!  better to be safe than SORRY !!

I got the same call this monring as well and like you she asked me a few questions and said the exact same thing thing that told you. I also did apply to the online mortgage as well.

5 Missed calls, 2 voicemails! Clearly I'm not going to answer if I don't know the number, same goes for the lovely unknown caller! Please stop calling!

I put mortgage loan prequalification form last night.  Got call this morning.  People probably putting in fake #s.

Got a call from this number and they left a message. They were asking for some guy named Steve who applied for a mortgage loan. The lady said her name was Irene and left another number 888-834-3056 to call back. Right afterwards another number 801-363-0472 from another mortgage company called asking for the same guy about his loan application. They too left another number 713-366-7709 to call back.
Scammer Steve has another thing coming at him.

They don't leave a message but they call every 3 days or so.
Right after they call 248-419-0039 calls!
Ignore them both.

TY.....I did the same thing but when it came time to give them my SS number on the website, since I did not know for sure this website was for real, I did not give it. My application must  have still been accepted as I did get a call from this number (missed call) and another mortgage company.

I did recently refinance with M I C (mortgage investors corp) and I will NEVER do that again as they were calling BEFORE my first payment was due  and every month, if I do not have it there by the 1st they call several times   I have told them it is not late until the 15th and since they keep harassing me, I will not mail it until the 10th of each month until they stop calling.  I still want to find another company so if anyone has good information on a good mortgage company let me know.,

Just got a call from this number. Said it was from "Troy, MI".  I assume it is because I started to fill out an online form with interest in refinancing (it was a click-thru ad at our local paper).  When they asked me for my SSN, I declined.  Apparently they collected all the other data and sent me two emails saying I'd be called within 24 hours.  Highly frustrating, I declined to complete the interest form!  They shouldn't be saving it line by line.  Apparently the 'cancel' button doesn't work as I thought it would at the site.  :-o

Called - did not answer, no message left.

The only company I had given my number to on line EVER has been newcitycompare.com.

Got my first junk txt about 20 minutes after giving the guy my number, they are coming from 3-4 different numbers. The phone calls have just started from this number a day later.

I can't say for sure but it's a really big coincidence.... don't you think?

Would be interesting to know if anyone else had contacted newcitycompare.com before getting harassed by these idiots.

Oh, and my tip to stop them calling back.

I got a call from this number on my office line and my home line. No message was left but after reading other comments realized why they are calling me.  There was an AOL sponsored message about Obama making you refinance your mortgage and blah blah blah. It thought it was an article, started filling out the info., but when it asked for my Social, I exited and then realized it was simply an AOL Ad basically. Not an article.  It was soon after the called.  The sight that was sponsoring this is LowerMyBills.com.

I haver recieved a phone call from 00 1 (248) 687-6808 a lady asked for myself, I asked where they were calling from, no reply.

Does anyone know what and who they are?

This number is from the vacinity of Troy, Michigan.  That is all of the info I have been able to learn.  From reading others comments I gather that they may have seen info that I left on a site regarding mortgage refinancing.  I prefer to ignore them and if I answer any of their calls I will request that I be removed from their list.

They keep calling, not leaving a mssage. It needs to be stopped no matter where it is coming from. It's harrassment!

This place called twice yesterday and 3 times today. I have filed numerous complains @ the NDNCL site but no actions were taken to stop this telemarketer. Is there an attorney reading this. Please file a class action suit again this company, they certainly have the resource to keep the junk calls going like this.

I received call several times today from this number. It was from someone responding to the inquiries I made online about going to school to get my masters degree.

I got a call from this number on my cell. I did not give out this number, and do not appreciate being called by strangers while I am in the middle of class. I don't like telemarketers calling me anytime. I was busy and told them they had the wrong number, because they don't take no for an answer.

I got a called today, 11/02/2010.  They told me the name of my mortgage company and asked if I wanted to refinance.  I hanged up.  I knew they were not calling representing my mortgage company and it's just telemarketing!

Got called on my mobile phone while in a meeting by this number, but as I was in a meeting I just muted the call and didn't look at the number until later.

Shows up on my iPhone as coming from Troy, Michigan.

Thing is, I live in Portsmouth England, so it looks like they are scamming internationally now too.

I should have answered and left them hanging to pick up the charges.

These calls are from Reliance First Capital.. The are Mortgage Brokers, who help people who have low equity, and jumbo size loans obtain a refinance.  You would have had to have filled out something online, to have gotten a call from them in the first place.  Just tell them your not interested and they will stop calling, otherwise they will continue to try to reach you.  They are assuming you need assistance.
