It's Primerica, they are linked somehow with Citigroup and they are financial consultants. Their hook is you pay for your training/to have the name etc. 100% commission based sales.

Got a call from 'Matt' from 248-757-0892 too. Same script as the others. He left a message. Anytime I hear 'a friend gave me your number' I know it's not real. Creepy!

received a call from this number. It was from Matt Barrette, and left a message indicating they had received my name and were doing some hiring for full time and part time positions and I might be interested.
If you search on this web site for the number 248-553-4502, you'll see that this guy has been doing calling with the exact same script for a year. According to other callers, he is very elusive about what company but is hiring for a financial services industry. Interestingly, all the reports on that page indicate the people he called all have no financial industry experience (most are engineers).

I got a call from this guy, left a message (same as the post above). I called him back, he wanted me to meet with him, but when I asked him about his comapny and if there are a website for me to look at, he said: let's call it off at this time as you are not interested.
I would think that this is a scam.
As an advice, be aware of any calls and always ask for more information all the time
