I'm with T- Mobile and just got the same Brazilian Diet text - I'm also from Dallas

Received 2 txts morning 7/10.  I am not happy that this post is 4 weeks old and ATT is allowing this crap to continue.  My service with them will terminate if this cannot be controlled.

Just now received the same text message of Brazilian dr blah blah... going to ask my carrier for credit on this spam text message. My number is from dallas but no longer live there and my carrier is t-mobile... don't know how come they have got my number never been to Detroit or never gave my number to this kind of ppl or company.

Dallas Here, and ATT.  what is going on?  I got the same exact text just now!!!!  mine is a 214 number!!!!!

i got that text too yesterday, funny i was eating at McDonalds with my friends hahaha oh lord. but then i got it AGAIN this morning... its really irritating, i'd like it to stop... i didn't reply back with DIET so i don't know why its still sending me them?

oh and my cell numbers 214 (Dallas) too....

I got the same and i am not with the AT&T.  248 is a Michigan area code if this helps

214 (Dallas) and i got the number too.  I am in Michigan right now but never went to the North side of Detroit where this area code is located.

There is something up with this and AT&T!

I have purchased 5 phones recently for my company and all of them received this text spam shortly after being activated.... THIS IS NOT RANDOM!

Smells fishy, Is AT&T selling numbers/info? wouldn't be the first time!

I just got the message about hte Brazilian Diet.  I have ATT service and I am also from Dallas.

I rec'd a text from 1-248-885-4823.  It contained information about a Brazilian diet, Dr. approved formula, etc.  248 is a Detroit area code.  This is weird because i just returned from Detroit yesterday. How do you stop these types of text messages???

Just ported my Verizon number over to AT&T three days ago, got the brazilian diet text yesterday.  Hopefully it wont happen again, because that would be quite annoying.  Oh, and I'm also in Dallas.

Same thing for me, Brazilian diet thing.  Dallas AT&T, does the number keep sending you things or is it a one time thing?

lets all call 611 and report it to AT%T, it could be one of their competitor sending this stupid messages.

I just got off the phone with AT&T and filed a complaint. Call them and do the same! The agent said if enough people call in they will resolve the situation. Also make sure that you are on the DO NOT CALL REGISTY.

I just got mine 07-16-08 about the same for diet. If i could contact them, i would tell them i would bet the holing Sh*t out of them if we could meet.

I thank it's very wrong for them to text people that don't want to be. It makes me very mad and i'm ready to fight.

Well I've delt with crap like this for a long time.  This company came to me from a phone number, but if it had been a computer generated email/text with a long number (not phone number...bout 5 or 6 numbers) it would have been blocked from att.  If you have them you can manage who you get spam text from on their website.  att.com/textmessaging click on manage text messaging and block all computer generated texts.  But, since it came from a number I had to add the feature according to att that blocks unwanted text for 4.99 a month....they hate dealing with me.  I haven't figured out a solution yet for this but, once I do I'll let yall know.  For now, managing your own text messaging is free....DO IT!  They will tell you there is no such thing as spam text but I'm living proof....DO IT NOW for your sake!!!!

OMG! I just got this text to my 214 number.  Can we reply back DO NOT TEXT?  What are the laws for this?

This company, person, whoever/whatever sends me text messages on my cell.  I don't know who they are or how they got my number.

I deleted it of course, I don't pay for txt msg svc.

Does anyone have any information on this number?

just got my first spam text message from this number.  good lord, i hope this isn't the new spam market.  i'm going to just keep calling the number and hanging up.  or texting the number with one letter or a symbol a thousand times a day.  i have unlimited texting so i'm not worried about it costing me, but it isn't cool to get text messages about a brazilian diet.

side note, the number won't accept calls.  there goes the idea of shooting the spam texter hundreds of calls a day.  oh well.  maybe Super Obama will shut this spamer down!

Looks like there are several of us from dallas. I just received this text too and I have a dallas area code mobile number. Do you guys have ATT or Verizon?

I also received this text just a few minutes ago. I have a Dallas number (214), but I haven't been in the area for a long time. I emailed AT&T asking for a 1 text credit.

I googled this phone number after I got a blank text message from it.
Glad to know I'm not the only one, although I'm not happy that there's one more form of spam out there.
