Basically a scam?   LOL...very insightful, genius.  If indeed it is Primerica, they've been around for over 35 years, are in the highly regulated field of financial services, and are listed as PRI on the NYSE  (New York Stock Exchange).  I'm sure LOTS of scams show up there, eh?

Called and asked for Tom. Right now I do not know anyone named Tom. The male caller sounded surprised and told me to have a good evening.

Message left; "This is Matt Burrett (?) I'm in charge of the expansion for my company in your area. Your contact information came across my desk................Did not disclose the name of the company, or how he came across my "contact information". Will not be returning the call.

I got a call and as soon as I answered and said hello the Male voice immediately said, "wrong number, sorry."  ...I think this is Phishy And Fishy and am gonna look into it further to find out who the hell got my phone number and were they just testing it's (my phone number) for potential sales to call list distributors?  I don't know but will find out.  Sincerely Me, The guy who hates unethical and or deceitful business practices.

I spoke with Matt earlier and it is a financial services company.  I come from a manufacturing background.  Not for me, but Rob I doubt it's a scam.  I did some research and they're listed on the stock exchange.  It might be a good fit for some, but def not me.

Called my cell phone - left no message. I returned the call - left a message. He finally called back, and it ended up being a  recruiter for some financial advisor service, but he didn't name which one. He's looking for sales people or sales managers. Not my cup of tea, so I politely said no thanks.

MESSAGE: "Hi, (fill in your name).  This is Matt Beurette (possibly "Perrette").  "Your contact information came across my desk today.  Feel free to give me a call.  And I look forward to talking to you soon."

Screams "BS".

My 1st guess since my resume is posted online is that he's a recruiter.  But he failed to state so and provide details about the open position.

2nd guess, sounds like he's fishing.
