I can't believe these people. Are they really serious? My credit is perfect and they are starting to tick me off. 888-397-8183.

Another call, this time message was left on my answering machine. Monday 4/21/2008 at 1:23pm the pre-recorded message stated "This message is for FIRSTNAME LASTNAME, by continuing to listen you are acknowledging that you are FIRSTNAME LASTNAME. This is Jim Fisher, a debt collector with Asset Acceptance. Please contact me about a personal business matter at  1-888-397-8183. Once again, my name is Jim Fisher, and I am a debt collector with Asset Acceptance. Please contact me about a personal business matter at 1-888-397-8183. Thank You" These are exact words, I had to listen a few times to make sure but they are exact. My name was left out for obvious reasons. Caller ID: Answer Acceptance 773-668-1601

several calls, all previously picked up by answering machine - no message left. answered this call today and it had a recording stating my full name and if I was that person to press 1, if i had to get that person and it would take a minute press 2, and if this person was not available press 3. I, ignorantly enough, pressed 1. The automated voice then went on to state that all reps were busy and to please hold on the line and my call would be answered shortly(angry by this time thinking ok, YOU called ME, etc.)knowing I should've hung up, I waited to find out the outcome. The elevator music while waiting to top it off, The automated crap comes back on a few mins later saying all operators are too busy at this time and rattled off a toll free # (which I did not get)telling me to call this at a later time. No explanation of call.

Received a call from 773 668 1601
Was a computer generated call and said hold on for a person.
I don't talk to computers so I hung up

I picked up receiver just as answering machine came on.  Caller hung up.  *69 indicated this was the number...cost me $.95 to discover THIS?!  GRRRR

call it back and got a not register number

They go by so many names.

Here's some guys I've spoke to before, they are legitimate debt collectors, however they are guilty of using the strong-arm tactics we've most likely all seen before.

The call with some personal information (as they have your credit report) and of course they want more.

My big problem with these guys is they won't take no for an answer. So here's the initial info:

I answered the call it was from a charity for paralayzed kids wanting donations.

Received a "call" from this number today. Wasn't home when it came in.  No message left on answering machine.

Just called about 5 min ago. Southfield, MI appears along with 1 248 996 1530. The message says that the number is not assigned, in both English and what sounds like French.
