Called my cell number (also area 250) twice and is clearly some sort of SPAM or scam or marketer, though I didn't answer.

Wants to ask questions about my computer in broken English.

I have received a call from this number for over a week now every day but not on the weekend. they call once a day and do not leave a message. I do not know the number and it comes up unknown so I do not answer it. Then I looked it up and saw it here. This person really needs to get a life and stop bothering people if this is what they do.

Called claiming to be from Microsoft and my computer had been showing reports of fraudulent materials and viruses.

I just had this number call me, I wasnt near my phone when I got the call but I searched the number anyway because I never answer numbers I don't know. I found this...so Im glad I didn't answer. How do they get cell phone numbers anyway? I haven't given my cell number out to anyone other then friends and family.

This number just phoned my cell. Their scam this time is to say they're phoning from the VISA company and have a 14day trial promo. If you sign up you get a vacation for 2 to Vegas and $100 shopping credit or something on your VISA. Even if you don't keep it past 14days apparently you get the vacation and credit. When I said I wasn't interested the person seemed angry and hung up on me. Guess they're not having much luck scamming people this morning?!

They are scammers and looking to see if you are home ..if not u will be robbed.Police get on it!!!!!!!!!

250 220 8688 calls me and when i say hello nobody was on the other line so i search the # and  here it is ..

Dave, this is a Skype number. It is being used for a variety of scams. I've been called by it before...and by various numbers over the past few weeks trying to pull off the Microsoft scam (namely that something is wrong and you need to give over your computer to them to fix it...but of course they just want access to your computer so they can steal whatever...ID, codes, etc).

I answered it because it appeared to be a local number. Eventually he hung up on me after denying that this was a scam and enduring my name calling and racial slurs (things I would never say or think about anyone...but he is a criminal and so no holds barred...he and his confederates have been stealing from the naive and vulnerable...so I feel justified in saying ANYTHING to get under his skin and make his job unpleasant).
Bottom line....number being used for a variety of scams. Don't fall for them.

Okay...so I still PO'ed that the Fuucking Jehovahs Witnesses were at my door at 8:30 a.m. on Good Friday trying to proselitize...get me into the cult. And it is in that mood that I answered a call from this moron.

1. it is a spoofed number (tried to call it back to check it out and it doesn't ring through). They use yoour own area code so that you are more likely to pick up. From the accent of my "windows" guy, I would say it comes from off shore.
2. He asked for me by name  (sticking in a Mrs in front of the gender neutral name that is in the on-line phone book)...and he used my name several times.
3. I said "Oh yeah, windows! We all know about this scam...the police and the media have been telling us about you".
He said.... Mrs. L. this is not a scam it is about your windows"
I said....Yeah, well get your --Fat a** over here and clean them then. they are filthy from the winter"
He said...Uhhh? and then thinking about that for a bit...said it is not about your windows it is about your windows in the computer....yada yada yada

I called him a few more names and he finally got it and hung upl. Sure to here from this cretin again as that number has been calling here for years.

It's no good trying to sell me anything over the phone -- I have Call-Display as well as an answering machine.  When I receive a call, I look at the screen/number/name.  If it is a name/number with which I'm unfamiliar, then I don't respond.

So you're wasting your time, whoever called!

The number has called my res several times.  The person on the other end is quite rude.  If this is a tele-marketer, I am not interested in whatever they are selling or promoting.  It is my opinion that telemarketers should not be allowed.  If I want a product, I will go out and buy it or order it.  Telekmarketers are pushy and rude.  STOP CALLING.

This telephone (250-220-8688) caller consistently calls to my phone; Doesn't talk, just hangs-up. I do not what the caller wants, but, for me it's disturbing. I would like the caller to stop calling. I have the right to my privacy. I would also like the caller to know that I am aware they are on the wrong side of the law. Do stop calling!
