Am in Toronto. Called today at 6:00 p.m. - let it go to voice mail - no msg and no info on caller ID

How can I stop this annoyning/unwanted caller!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't answer unknown numbers. This one has called many times. They did not leave a voice mail. People who have something of value to talk to me about will leave a message. And they know I will call them back.

Hi there, I just received a call from this number. It was an automated message saying that I am eligible for a lower interest rate on my credit card. I did not press any button to speak to a representative, I just hung up.

Any modifications you want to make to your banking, please do so at a local branch. There are way too many scams out there...

I have asked them to remove me more than 3 times they hang up as soon as I ask. The last time that they called I advised that I was going to report them he said if I am going to report him he was not going to remove my number. The last call was Feb 26 at 3:10pm EST. Thank you.

The "do not call" list is a joke - it's more like an open invitation to scammers!  What good is a list like that if it can't prevent calls coming from outside of Canada??  It's more of a "DO call" than a don't call...

If you get a live voice, swear, be abusive, threaten them.  Blow a whistle in their ear. See if they report it to the police.  That way, the police can track THEM down and you can bet they'll stop calling YOU.

"This is a very important call from your credit card company" Sure it is. They make reference to lowering your rates due to the stimulus package. This is American. Unfortunately there is no press 3 to be removed, so you have to speak with someone and they can be very rude.

I keep getting calls from this number and I do not even possess a credit card!!! I usually let the call go to voice mail and I get a "Good byyyye" recording, or I pick up and say nothing, they hang up. I have been on every country's do not call list forever and I keep my subscription to these lists up to date.

My number used to be a business number, but not anymore for the past 4 years. The number of scam calls/faxes I get is totally ridiculous.

reported to CRTC as I am on the do not call list. they hung up on me when I treid to request removal from their list.

Pour avoir la paix, j'ai acheté un téléphone qui peut bloquer jusqu'à 30 numéros. Après avoir mis le numéro en mémoire, si ce numéro rappelle ça sonne un coup et c'est tout. Après quelques essais, on me laisse tranquille pour au moins plusieurs mois. Sans faire de pub, ça commence par PANA et ça fini par SONIC.

I finally bought a phone which can block up to 30 numbers. After it is memorised the phone rings one time and closes the call. they're still calling back for short time and then leave me alone for at least few months. The mark of this device begins with PANA and ends by SONIC.

This number is a residential line issued by Telus for a residence in South Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada.
The number is listed as not in use.

Telus has been contacted and a representative there has brought it to her supervisor's attention.

If the calls continue, bombard TELUS with threats and abuse until they realise it is a weakness within their system that is allowing the scammers to exploit them and bother us.

Got a call @ 17:36 pm. Said he was working for both VISA & MASTER CARD offering lowered interest rates. Got my current interest rate & type of card wrong. When I told him he was lying, he hung up on me. Keep them on the phone as long as possible just to waste their time.

just recived another Scam call, said nothing then hung up, this is BS these numbers need to be traced

have called many many times. offer to reduce my credit card interest rate.  I pushed "1" to talk to a "representative". a male answered , I told him to remove my number from their list. he merely replied "bye" and hung up.

J'entends alors le message enregistré disant que ceci est le dernier avertissement concernant ma carte de crédit et/ou qu'ils peuvent augmenter ma limite, etc.Cela dit d'appuyer sur le 1 pour plus d'infos, je le fais et lorsque quelqu'un me répond et que je demande des explications il me raccroche la ligne au nez. J'ai appelé ma compagnie de service de téléphone ils disent que ces appels proviennent de Vancouver et qu'ils ne peuvent rien faire pour m'aider. C'est à chaque jour et je me sens harcelée. J'aimerais vraiment trouvé un moyen pour me débarrasser de ces appels! J'ai vu que tu avais écrit que tu étais sur la liste des numéros exclus et c'est la première fois que j'en entends parler de cette possibilité. Pourrais-tu me dire comment je dois procéder? Je suis consciente que cela ne me débarassera pas de ces appels mais je pourrai au moins éviter touts les autres appels de sollicitation ce qui n'est pas négligeable. Merci à l'avance.

The DNCL won't help.  The jurisdiction for the DNCL is within Canada.  These calls are coming from other countries but are showing as though they are within Canada.  Something needs to be done to stop them.  Beyond annoyed.

Also once you connect with these sicko's they can look up the number who picked up (you) and do a reverse look-up to get your name-company name-address-city etc. Let the calls go!!

I don't think people realize that to make conversation with these creatures gives them enough time to hack into your phone.  They are scum & know exactly what they are doing.  Just don't answer the call or any call number you don't recognize.

If it is a legit number they will leave a message or their name will show on the call display.  I wish I didn't have a house phone, these creatures don't even have to come to your house to rob you!!  Is it that hard or are you that curious as to pick up calls from number's you don't recognise.  

I have my "Do Not Accept Calls From Undisclosed Number's"  as well "Selective Call Blocking" on at all times but they still seem to get through.  Unless I am expecting a call and the company name shows up I can walk away from that call no problem.

If you succeed in having your number removed from their robodialer list, by politely asking, you should be proud of yourself. You will have been the first person in history to accomplish that feat! I hope it DOES work for you!

Just got that call to...it was my second and final notice to lower my credit card interest rates. Press one to speak to a representitive...which I did and told him I am on the Do Not Call registry, and to remove .y number from their phone list immediately. He assured me he would and thanked me for my time. Not holding my breath here....
