They call on a SUNDAY!!!!!!

new cell phone - new phone number - no debits in my life - must be random dialing scam  Same number "missed call"

I received a call from this number saying they were from revenue services and were actually looking for location information of someone other than me. then I came on here, very suspicious.

I have same number 1-250-405-4955 calling me on my cellphone. I just got a cellphone and my number and I don't owe any money to MSP. I have everything paid through my work. Is there any way I can make them stop calling? I don't want to call them back (it's long distance for me).

You can't not have insurance through them unless you have it through another province.

yeah, it probably is BC Medical Insurance people, I refuse to pay them 3 months in advance - after all, if I die will they refund me 2 months? hehe croak!

Ya it calls about twice a day and its an automated response from Revenue Canada asking you to call them at the number they give - is this case it was in regards to MSP premiums

The weirdest thing happened to me. I got a voice mail from someone named "Lisa" at Revenue Services of British Columbia saying that she was "returning" my call, but I never called her! So I called her back to tell her that I didn't call her and she said that a women left her a message with my name and number. Creepy! She didn't ask me any personal information and she said that I don't owe any money, She told me to just disregard her message. But I don't know who to trust! Is someone calling around pretending to be me? Or is this "Lisa" person trying to scam me? Any insight would be much appreciated!!!

I received a call from them today. They were just asking if I'm interested in a direct deposit.

i received 2 calls from this # yesterday while not home, and no message was left and i do not know this number ? and we don't owe any money to msp...

Advise not to call them back.  I tried calling this phone number back several times and all I got was an automated tree, then when I finally got someone they kept asking me all kinds of questions.  I tried to give them a lot of info except my SIN #, then they HUNG UP on me very rudely!

If it is Revenue Canada, they need to stop this agression NOW or people won't call them back anymore.  In fact, they shouldn't be calling people in the first place, it is too much time and trouble.  Mail is the best way.

They just called me, I picked up and no one is there.  I search for the number on the net, and get told it's a land line in Victoria, BC.  Did a google search, and here this is. MSP can take a hike, I don't owe them anything, and I don't even have insurance through them :s  *sigh*  Great information though everyone, thanks :)

This number calls almost everyday, several times a day. I pick up and listen, but sounds like no one is there. You would think they would take the hint. I do not recognize the number at all.

i just got a call from these guys this morning i owe them almost 500 not too worried because i already got my income tax refund which i thought they would deduct before they paid me oh well im happy and ill pay them when i get around to it they better not hold their breath though :)

Got a voicemail from Revenue Services of BC - called back and waded through their vm system.  Talked with a rep and similar to the entry above, the person they were looking for gave them an incorrect number.

I got a call from 250 405 4960 on my cellphone. I don't give my cellphone number out other than to friends and close business contacts.

I phoned back as requested in the message left, and confirmed it was the Revenue Services of BC (NOT Revenue Canada), and that they were looking for MSP premiums. It turned out that the person they were trying to reach had given them an incorrect phone number. I have never heard of the person they were trying to reach.

I wonder if that person will end up paying for her medical services because her doctor can't collect from MSP?

I got a call from this number as well. funny thing is that they called my cellphone number which i don't use to register for anything. So it makes me wonder how they got this number.

This call is from the Medical Services Plan, as others have mentioned.  You would only receive calls from here if you are late in your MSP premiums.  Several months, usually.  You shouldn't expect calls from this number if you are up-to-date.  If you are concerned about fraud such as the caller above (Sammy), you should not post here and expect a response or assistance - contact the authorities, or the credit bureau etc..  Once a fraudster has your info, the last thing they will be doing is calling you back and "going over it with you."  They would take that info, defraud you, and move onto the next person without you even knowing the fraud has happened.

I got one of those today, the person on the other end said they were from revenuse services of bc, and they had all kinds of personal info on me like all my mortgage info, and they said that they have done a credit check, yet when I was talking to him, he asked me what bank I was dealing with, now if he had a credit report in front of him he would have known what financial institution I was from.  Does anyone have any more info on this....?  Hurry before he does damage.

Just wondering what....push 3 then one,important info?!   If they have my phone number must have address so why not just send it rather than these harassment calls!!

ya, i got a miss call from this number twice this year. i didnt use the care card for almost 5 years,dont know why they called me.

This is Revenue Services Canada calling about your MSP...I WAS behind on my bill, but they were actually calling me to let me know that I was eligible and was being put on the free plan, so it's not ALWAYS regarding an unpaid bill...although I did end up getting a payment plan out of it that looks much easier for me to pay down...just call them back, it's worth it not to have to avoid calls from them constantly.

And just so everyone knows...if you are a BC resident, you ARE enrolled in MSP...you don't have a choice...it sucks, but unfortunately that's life.

got a recording that says office hours are ... press this button and that button ... after 20-25 minutes on my CELL PHONE ... I hung up
No business has my cell # and that fricken costs me money ... so stop leaving messages on my voicemail ... they are only half a message anyway because your machine is too stupid to wait for a moment until a person's outgoing message is finished (and mine is short)
