seem these crooks like to use numbers from Telus, I think either Telus has something to do with this or these crooks were the ex-employee form the company. I think we should file a compliant not only to CRTC but to Telus also.

You sure got that right! Do Not Call list being a joke. Hasn't helped much at all.

no message on answering machine. called it back. said "not a working number". guessing a telemarketer. If I am home next time, I will ask them to put our number on the "Important!!! do not call list".

Get calls often, get recording about a credit card. No one answers, want them to stop calling.

Want no more calls - If I want a card I'll get one myself. Usually can't understand what they are saying !!!

This number has been calling me for months, almost always at 11:30 am. They never leave a message. I have reported it to telus and if you do the same they will give you instructions on how to report them. Basically report the calls to telus and they will tell you to press *57 and let them talk for a minute (if they do) and then tell them (if it's not a tape) that you have done this and their call has been recorded at telus.
I am in area code 604 so I don't know if this applies everywhere.
Not a lot you can do about this abuse in B.C/Canada where the Clark Liberals and Harper Cons have deregulated everything and lawlessness rules.

They are a scam unit .After talking to a few people ,to down your credit card intrest rate they need your credit card number and they have a one time fee of $1900.00 which reduces all credit cards now and in the future to 11%.They run under Advantage Corporation Services @1 888 796 9619 at the present time but will probably change soon.1-2-2013.v

Got a call from 1-250-418-8818, automated message says "...this is your final notice ... your credit cards ...". I was really cheesed to receive a call with a message that is clearly designed to worry recipients, so I pressed "1" and was connected to a live person - a male with an Asian or Indian accent. Background noise I heard suggests a call-centre environment. I asked where the call was coming from; he said BC (of course I knew that from the area code). I told the guy my number has been on the "Do Not Call" list for years and I said I didn't want to receive another call from them EVER. The guy wasn't very nice to me once I started giving him "what for."

Got this on my voicemail where it attempted to connect to a live person (must have mistaken a sound on my voicemail for a button push)  It did one ring and ended the message.  Reported it to the CRTC cause I know it to be a scam.

Call from this number at 4:58 pm today.  A credit card scam asking me to press a number, which I didn't.  these scam artists need to be stopped.

I received a phone call from this number telling that I'm  endetted for 1000 dollars to them

I recieved another call from 250-418-8818, it's always a recorded voice speaking in English: "This is an important message about your credit card account...". I recieve theirs calls every week, but I'v never take the call. But today Jan 31 2013, I decide to take that f,,king call and talk to sombody in the other extreme of the line. Machine send me to a representative. He says: hello. Answer: hello, why are you called me? He: It,s about your credit card. Me: Wish one, I have two. He: silence for a while...Visa. Me: I have no Visa. He: What credit card do you have? Me: You must know, you called me about my credit card, so you are supose to know...He said anythong else and hang up the phone to me.

Just NEVER give your name and credit card number to an unknow company or person. YOU ASK THE QUESTIONS, NOT THEY.

That DO NOT CALL LIST is a joke!  I signed up as well and it made no difference at all.

I receive calls from this number almost every day around 7:00 PM,something to do about low credit card rates.
PS: I do not use any credit cards at all.

Keep getting these calls approx 2-3 times a week.  No one there. How do I stop this or better yet, who is this?

I am getting real tired of people calling from this number - no one is there and when I call back the number has been disconnected.  How is that possible in the 30 seconds it took to call back.
