I just add these calls to my Contacts with names like Credt Card Pest, Energy Pest, Direct Buy Pest, Charity Pest, etc. So at least I know not to answer the phone when I see that Mr or Ms Pest is calling.  For that lower your credit card rates Pest I already have 12 differnt numbers in 12 area codes.

This place continues to call me about consolidating credit card debt I don't have. It's VERY annoying and uses my cell phone minutes. If you try to speak to someone about being removed from their list, they hang up on you and call from another number. SIGH. WHAT CAN BE DONE TO STOP THIS?!?!?!?

I am so glad that people comment on this because it helps to put the number in my blocked callers.  Then a few months o by and the scammers use a different number.  I feel for people who dont use the internet to research.   All I know that it is common sense today to not give information out without researching to make sure it is not a scam.  If it isn't they will give you information you ask for. Good luck and spread the word.

No call list does not work. This is crooks who wants your credit card number and charge $1000+ on them.

Just play along, tell them you are interested in their offer, and then give phony card #, name, and expiration date. Make sure to tell them that your debt is over $10,000. Oh, if they want your credit card company's phone #, just give them the original.

At the end, they will get back to you to double check the numbers. You can then tell them that you were messing with them, and start your lectures or just hang up.

If they waste enough time with people like us, they will stop calling us. Don't just hang up or ignore!

I get these robco calls every damn day and I want them to stop! I'm on the Do Not Call list and they still come through, but never from the samenumber.  I've tried blocking the number from my cell phone butthat will block onlyso many!  HELP!!! Make them stop!

The message always starts by:  "Hello, I'm Rachel (or Heather or Tiffany) from creditcard services (or account services)...." when I press the option to speak to someone, some times I get a live person on the other end but they ALWAYS hang up on me when I tell them to take me off their list, they never let me finish before hanging up! I just got another call (775-410-1104) while typing this complaint! OMG!!!! MAKE IT STOP!!!!!

The recording I got was from "Credit Card Services" supposedly about my card.  I got these calls so frequently from so many different numbers (always the same recording) that I finally went along, pushed "1" and was connected to an agent.  I went along as if I was interested in order to get a call-back number and then I filed a complaint.  HOWEVER I'd advise against this.  Once you push "1" you get put on a list and the number of calls multiply by 10.

Actually, prosecuting these criminals is quite difficult. They use multiple off-shore shell companies and spoof dialing. If you're on thier list, not much you can do to remove yourself.

The people working there are knowing criminals. When they call, i ask if they are fat & ugly because they can't go out in public? I brought one girl to tears by continuing to call her an obese fat sow. maybe she will quit. One less.

Sometimes I agree to everything and tell them I need to get my wallet in the car.....wait five mins and say, hold on, i know where it is now....wait and wait until the loser is calling into the phone. Then i pick up and laugh at him/her. Telemarketers are willing participants and should be considered fair game to any and all insults. they called you to steal your money.

These scammers use about 20 different numbers they use. I always call them back and when their recording
ask you if you want your number removed , do this  When they ask you to enter the number to be removed ,
enter your local police dept. number ,  or the number of your government agency. You "know" they are going to call "this" number and "pass" it on to others. If know one can stop them , lets see what happens when they keep calling the police or Government agency.

Good for you!! Inspite of our AG's office telling us not to do anything that indicates they have a working number, my husband likes to string them along too. But he didn't do a good a job as you did. When the man wanted phone numbers for the Bank of Outer Mongolia and the Bank of Inner Mongolia, my husband gave him phony numbers and then hung up while those other calls were bing made. He was not asked for the expiry date or id #.

for almost a year I've been doing everything you've detailed in your message.  The government so far has been unable to stop the robo calls, according to their letters I've received regarding my complaints.

The only thing that provides some relief is to block the number with your telephone service provider.  Unfortunately, these slimeballs call from so many different numbers that it's hard to keep up the blocked list. Every week usually brings 2-3 new numbers.  YAY.

One of these days the government will catchup with them and it will be BEAUTIFUL!  I can hardly wait!

This is a SCAM CALLER trying to get your credit card information.  The number displayed on caller ID isn't even real.   Feel free to ask for their contact information, and if you ever get REAL contact information for them, post it online and I'm SURE one of us million or so pissed off customers will HUNT THEM DOWN "legally" of course...   Sadly, they ONLY lie to you over the phone and not give you any real information about who they really are...   Entire calling centers filled with phone scam artists...  They are the scum of the earth...

I always press 1.  I wait for them to ask "You pressed 1 and are interested in lowering your credit cards?"

I respond with something obscenely disgusting like "No, I am actually interested in you licking my sweaty ball sack. After that I'd like to take a s*** on your chest and spew all over your ugly face."

They always hang up.

Nothing that you do will stop them from calling you. The major players behind this have made millions of dollars, which means that they are too big to fail.
One of the major players specializes in aiding the rich with tax evasion and shell corporations set up in Belize. You can bet that the well to do in this country are not getting lower your credit card interest rate calls and due to that fact our government just considers a few phone calls a minor annoyance.
The FCC has temporarily halted 5 of the minor unprofitable boiler rooms. They will receive a slap on the wrist and be back at it within a few days.

In the meantime the calls will continue since the major money is being made with what is called a CNAM revenue-sharing program through companies like   http://www.telephonemanagement.net and http://www.CallerID4U.com
In their own words:  'Every day your company makes thousands of outbound phone calls. Every one of those calls generates revenue for many companies, why not yours? Our CNAM revenue-sharing program helps you make money every time a Caller ID request is made by a phone carrier. A high-traffic call center can lose hundreds to thousands of dollars a day to phone carriers by allowing them to charge for access to your own data.'

You can now see why the criminals keep calling even though they know you won't fall for their scam. They are making money even if you don't answer the phone. If someone does make the mistake of answering the phone and falling for their con then it is just icing on the cake for them. These people are the lowest form of filth on this planet. The only way to stop this is to contact the FBI and ask why this crime family is allowed to operate and facilitate the ongoing criminal operations. This is one of the reasons that the RICO act was put in place, so why aren't they using it. Is this because this isn't a high profile, news worthy operation or is the FBI too understaffed and busy with Homeland Security issues. Maybe if we were rich they would take this seriously, but then if we were rich we would be using that criminal organizations services and protecting them instead of trying to shut them down. It is alleged that they launder money from Pacific Telecom through a trust bank account in Oregon and into foreign accounts at Scotiabank in Belize and other destinations.

Why hasn't the FBI used the RICO act and gone after this organization? On October 15, 1970, the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (18 U.S.C. §§ 1961?1968), commonly referred to as the 'RICO Act', became United States law. The RICO Act allowed law enforcement to charge a person or group of people with racketeering, defined as committing multiple violations of certain varieties within a ten-year period. The purpose of the RICO Act was stated as 'the elimination of the infiltration of organized crime and racketeering into legitimate organizations operating in interstate commerce'. S.Rep. No. 617, 91st Cong., 1st Sess. 76 (1968). However, the statute is sufficiently broad to encompass illegal activities relating to any enterprise affecting interstate or foreign commerce.

Any criminal activity can be reported to the FBI here:  https://tips.fbi.gov

What To Do When You Get an Illegal Robocall; http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/microsites/robocalls
1.    Hang Up. Do not press 1 or any other numbers to get off the list and NEVER call them back
2.    Consider blocking the number or on a cell phone add it to a contact list and assign NO ring tone
3.    Report it at http://www.fcc.gov/complaints
4.    Report it at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov
5.    People should continually file complaints with their Attorney Generals office
Register your phone numbers online at http://www.donotcall.gov or call (888) 382-1222 (must call from # you want removed).

There is a blog site that has information on one of these operations:     http://telemarketerspam.wordpress.com

Just got a call from this number. I pressed 1 to speak to a representative. When someone came to the line I asked to put on the do not call list. She said they do not have a list like that. I was being called because I am in good standing with my accounts and may qualify for lowering my interest rate. I asked the name of their company. She said, Account Services working with Next Solutions to lower interest rate on my credit cards. I decided to continue to talk with her to see if I could get more info from her. She asked how much I owe on my credit cards. She said I needed my CCs available to see if I can qualify for lowering my interest rate. I told her I wouldn't give her my acct #s. She rudely said, "I didn't ask you for those acct #s. I already have them." I told her I would not be providing any info to her. She said, "Ok maam. You have a nice day." and hung up! Really? AS I was speaking to the woman she was reading from a script the whole time and her voice sounded very lazy as if she was sitting on her couch playing Bejeweled Blitz!

If you get a call from this telemarketer, please file a complaint with the FCC and FTC: http://www.fcc.gov/complaints and http://www.ftc.gov/ftc/contact.shtm.  If they receive enough complaints, they'll investigate. In addition, they send information on how to file a lawsuit. Recently, they shut down five of these scams.

Reporting this company to the Do Not Call Registry is like playing whack-a mole. They change numbers all the time.I have tried setting my cell to reject the call, but it doesn't work. The message doesn't go through.
Periodically, I will answer and tell them I am on the do not call list. They will hang up on me, but they just keep calling back. Pressing whatever number to get your  number removed from their list does nothing. It's maddening!
