I got a similar message but from a 613 area code. And it mentioned Ontario... Blocked it right away.

I got the same thing, only the name was frank and it was area code 587.

We received the following text message from this number:
"Jim, what's up? - encountersincanada.com is where I was meeting all those girls while i was in bc."
My husband's name is not Jim!
We tried calling back the number, but there was no response - and text messages were not going through.

Received a text from an unknown number (and my name is not Dave), "Dave! How are you? canadianflings. com That's where I met all those singles when I was in BC".
It seems this number is texting to others too about other singles/hookup websites as reported by others who have received similar texts. A look at the web site home page referenced in the text message revealed it's an over 18 site but I didn't enter. The domain is registered out of a cheap instant domain signup and hosting site based in Panama.
