Got this number calling on my cel with Virgin.  Hung up when it took 3 seconds to connect.

I received this call on my cell phone, Feb. 11 at 8:59 am, BC time. I was away from my phone so I didn't hear it ring when the call first came in, they left no message. I called back and recording said number not in service. I checked online, the listing for it is a land line through Shaw Cable in Fulford Harbour, BC. I have no idea who these folks are or how they got my number. Judging from the other people's comments, I guess it's a telemarketer, or some other type of scam. I would recommend not answering it if you can help it.

I just got a call from that number & had the good sense not to answer. It is from a BC area code (250) but I don't recognize the originating exchange. I let it go to see if a message would be left. No message. Looking it up online it comes up associated with a scam. They're now running through the Shaw Cable phone numbers from the looks of it. Thank everyone for the heads up.

Love this site - should have checked before answering. Wonder how many new calls I will earn because I answered instead of letting it go to voicemail...

Just got a call a couple days ago from this numbe.. however im orignally from Nova Scotia and am home visiting so to save myself from a long distance charge i never answered.. but being curious, i looked into it thinking i had possibly missed a job interview or something. Glad i never answered afterall! :)

Just had 3 separate calls on my house phone.  The middle call was one continuous ring so of course I didn't answer.
But, I'm curious because I just bought a new cell phone and haven't decided on a provider yet.

Telus, Shaw or someone has sold my number, prob Telus cause they're on my case about not having to stick to my original contract.

I mean, my bill this month was over $500, and when I signed the contract the total amount  (I was told)
would not exceed $104 with tax monthly.

So, I'm telling them if they want to up my bill, they've broken the contract and so there's no more 3 yr deal.

Did not answer as I did not recognize number.

They just called me. Right as I hit my talk button, they hung up. Weird. Tried to call back, says number is out of service.

Was just reading over the comments as myself as well as a lot of my friends have been receiving this # calling us lately. I wanted you to know that there is a way as I know my daughter and her friends do this sometimes (only to me and my family) but you can actually a way that people can go on the computer (some program) and dial anyone and make it look like it is coming from any # they choose, Example: My daughter sitting right next to me, she was on the computer as my phone rang and I assumed it was my dad because that is the # that showed up on my call display and when I answered "Hey Dad" it was my daughter giggling on the other end sitting at the computer. Really beware...Take care.

Got a call from them this morning.

Was strange because it was listed as 011-250-etc.   instead of just 1-250  like a normal person.

Makes me think it's an international calling scam run by some machine.

All i heard was "Attention"... and I hung up.

Only googled it in case it was some government thing I should actually care about - obviously... irrelevant.

When dialed 250-930-4268 it says "number you have dialed is  not in service".

Got a call from this number and they said something about 2000 airmiles points on the message it left, and we don't even have airmiles card

I received a call from this number (250)930-4268 on my other line. i didnt answer it because i was in a very important call. I dialed this number immediately after the call i was on and recieved the message "This number is not in service. Check the number and try again". Must be a scam, but i have a question. How can one call from a phone number NOT in service???? O.O

Called my Telus cell, did not pick up, no message left.

This was a robocall offering me $2000 for Aeroplan. I recorded the number and hung up without responding

A prerecorded message in Spanish. Don't know what it was. I don't speak the language.

Usually have cell phone OFF, turned it on to call someone, got 3 beeps as soon as I dialed his number.  Hung up, tried again, 3 beeps again, and then immediately got incoming call from this 250 area code number, which I answered.  No voice response, but I saw something about 3 cents/minute on my screen and immediately hung up.  If the scammer is just dialing numbers in sequence, how did they happen to dial my number in the 2 minutes out of a week that my phone was turned on?

Got similar message concerning air miles. I pressed 1 and some fake voice answer saying "who do I have the pleasure to talk to?". I told them I need my phone # removed from their calling list. He said "Disconnect your phone line if you don't want any phone calls from us" and he hung up.

Just called my phone. I didn't pick up. Caller did not leave a voicemail.

Just got a call from this number and it was entirely in Spanish. It's apparently from Victoria, BC.

Just got a call from 250-930-4268. You will receive 2600 Air Miles - press 1. I did.  Seems to be a telemarketer trying to promote Azul Five resort.  Tried to get me to purchase a discounted 6 day vacation in the Maya Riviera for 999.99 total for up to 4 people. That was his pitch.  I was patient listened for a while he passed me onto a "supervisor".  I said I wasn't comfortable being phoned out of the blue and being offered this "great deal".  Supervisor then offered me a student price for 799.99 for the same deal.  He was persistent but there was no way I was going to give any credit card information.  He tried to assure me by saying he would pass me onto a security representative and everything would be recorded for my safety and protection (I'm not sure how that works - haha).  After about 15 minutes I think he finally gave up.
