They said they were calling from my credit card company and that there were no problems with my account but that I needed to call them immediately to get my rate lowered-I HAVE NO CREDIT CARDS

I pressed 0 to get to an operator and ask to be removed from the list and they hung up on me.

recording said I could lower my credit card rate.  I have no credit cards.  I pressed "9" to lower my credit rates and got Shawn.  He said "you pressed 9 to lower your credit card rate".  I said, "actually, I pressed 9 to get you to remove my number from your calling list".  He pressed disconnect.

Got a call about lowering credit card rates.  Pressed 9 in hopes of getting a human to complain to, but got no answer after several rings.

Same as rest, can lower interest on credit cards. I wish the goverment would shut down all these people. As far as I'm concerned they can all go jump in the lake. I've deceided that I'm going to get myself a whistle and start busting some ear drums. Then we'll see how many times they call back. I'M SICK OF YOU PEOPLE.

I received the same call today with the same credit card, final notice, blah, blah, blah.  I, too, pressed 9, was connected with some girl who kept calling me "hon", and I asked why she was able to call me when I was on the do not call list.  She told me that it wasn't her department, but that she could help me lower my interest rates.  I told her that I didn't understand why she could call me, she said that she helps lower Visa and Mastercard rates.  I asked her if she was representing Visa & MC, she said no, but that she was trying to do me a service.  I asked her if they trained her to call people "hon."  She said no, but that she didn't know my name, and had to have something to call me.  I told her she should try ma'am.  I asked her if she could put me on their do not call list, she again told me that it wasn't her department, I asked her if she could transfer me to someone that could.  And then she hung up on me.  Surprise, surprise, surprise. I tried to call the number back that came up on caller ID and it was disconnected.  I filed a complaint with the national do not call registry.

Ditto on the recording.  I've received calls from them many times.  I hit 9 to speak to the operator.  I was going to let him waste his time giving me his pitch and I was going to lead him on... as background noise while I was paying my bills.  When he answered, he spoke with a very strong East Indian accent and I couldn't understand what he said, so I said, "I'm Sorry?", then he immediately hung up on me.

I got the same messge today.  Very rude.  i would like to find out who this is.

Said "this call is regarding your credit, there is no problem with your account now, but consider this your FINAL NOTICE (...that you could be saving money with a low interest rate yadayada)
I did indeed have very low interest, in anything they were pushing, so I pressed '9' to talk to an operator.  He said, "hello, did you press 9 to find out about low interest rates?" to which I replied, "no, I pressed 9 to get off of your call list."
He promptly hung up on me.
