P.S.   Google-----  TELEPHONE NUMBER SPOOFING

read what and how the criminal telemarketers steal innocent peoples telephone numbers to make the fraud calls.

Then the idiot people who receive the calls don't comprehend that the telephone number on their caller id has been
spoofed and is either fake  / don't work at all or belongs to some innocent person who knows NOTHING about
any telemarketing.

You people need to get a life.

That Ollie person is some innocent person who's telephone number was spoofed - stolen by the telemarketer scammers.

Google-----TELEPHONE NUMBER SPOOFING

Before you go accusing or calling some innocent person's number that was spoofed - stolen and used to appear on caller
i.d.'s so the scammers can complete calls can go thru.

Keep in mind, when the scammers choose your number to call tens of thousands of numbers over a few hours period---

how you wouldn't want people on here passing your name and or telephone number around for people to call and harass you , seeing as how you couldn't help that scammers used your telephone number.

Leave that Ollie guy alone. He knows nothing about the scammers.

Americans like you are what is wrong with this country. Your dumb. Talk and do $hit that you don't comprehend or know
anything about.

They do not sell and they don't sell your number.

has it ever occurred to you that they call every area code, every prefix and start with 0000, 0001, 0002, 0003

up to 9999.

202-325-0000   202-325-0001   202-325-0002  on up to  202-325-9999

They call each and every area code ,
each prefix and every number in the last set.

Why would they have to pay anyone for any number when their computer calls every [possible number ???????????????

How dumb can you be ?????????????

YOUR A STUPID  A$$.

OLLIE WILLIAMS  DID NOT CALL YOU !

I REPEAT , OLLIW WILLIAMS DID NOT CALL YOU.

THESE SCAMMER TELEMARKETERS SPOOF / STEAL INNOCENT PEOLES TELEPHONE NUMBERS AND USE THAT NUMBER OVER A COMPUTER  VOIP TO CALL YOU.

YOU CALLING THE NUMBER BACK AND CURSING THE PERSON OUT IS DOING A REAL INJUSTICE TO SOME INNOCENT PERSON.
THE SCAMMERS CAUSE ANY NUMBER THEY WANT TO SHOW ON PEOPLES CALLER ID.

YOU CALLING THE NUMBER BACK AND MAKING THREATS , HARASSING THE PERSON AND YOU COULD END UP IN PRISON.
YOUR CALLING SOME UNKNOWING INNOCENT PERSON WHO'S NUMBER WAS STOLEN !!

REMEMBER THIS----->>>>  the scammers could very well use your telephone number to call people and cause it to appear on caller  i.d.. 's

How would you feel if everyone called you and cursed you out and harassed you ??

So  DO NOT call the innocent person's phone number the telemarketer scammer spoofed to show on your caller id.
They ( this Ollie person has nothing to do with anything )

If I'm not mistaken, you log onto Verizon's website to block numbers but it does absolutely NO good.

You can block only so many numbers and there are billions of possible area code , number combinations
these scammers can use a number from.

They  SPOOF numbers.  ( steal , make up a false number that is NOt their own )

DOES NO GOOD TO BLOCK THEIR NUMBERS !!

My favorite thing to do is tell them to call me tomorrow at work that my credit cards are at my office and
I would like to use their service to lower my interest.
I give them my congressman's name as mine and his phone numbers.

hehehe

maybe when congressmen get tired of the scammers calling them, something will be don't to stop it.

Sorry they can't solve all this spoofed calling scam in a hour like they do on CSI.. life doesn't work that way. http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0108-national-do-not-call-registry#calls

The DNC does do its job and works just fine! It does what it was meant to do. People tend to really misunderstand how it works and generally do not understand that the DNC does not protect you from the scams, frauds, extortionists and the unscrupulous nasty's that refuse to obey laws. Charity's and political, along with some survey's are exempt from this.  Most of those will place you on the their internal DNC if asked though and there is a political DNC (it works very well too I might add) list you can sign up with.

Complaints filed with the DNC and other agency's are used to establish a pattern, then they can take action. They do make busts, they do fine them, and they do make arrests. You also need to realize that some of these bad actors are located in foreign country's and then their government has to work with ours. Slow it may be, but it does happen!

The more complaints filed, the more info they have to go on!

http://stoppoliticalcalls.org/index.php

Here is where you file complaints:

https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#&panel1-1
https://esupport.fcc.gov/ccmsforms/form1088.action
https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2
http://www.consumerfinance.gov/complaint/

And you may want to invest in a call blocker, The T-lock Incoming PRO Call Blocker sells for under 60 bucks on Amazon and can block up to 1500 numbers.

Does absolutely NO good !

The FCC and FTC do not act on your behalf and they will tell you that if you ask.

You have to hire your on attorney and sue the scammer telemarketer on a private basis.

I know that for a fact !

You and your silly phone app.

These scammers spoof / make up any number they want to show on caller id and get past your silly a$$ app.

There is over 9 BILLION different telephone numbers for each   area code / number .

Multiply that by hundreds of area codes.

That is how many different numbers these scammers scan spoof / steal in order call you with.

Your phone app is the funniest thing I ever heard.  Spew something else funny.

The only way to stop these scammers is to call and follow up with complaint letters to the congressmen
AND senators from your state.

It is a REAL company, just not an honest one. They prey on the gullible and the elderly. Anyone whom is tricked into giving their credit card number to the "card services" scammers will notice hundreds, if not thousands of dollars charged to it on their next statement! Beware, and warn others!

the first call was for credit call reduction, the number, no good, of course. The second call was a threat, as were the next 10 or 12 calls marked blocked. This bi*** promised to call me every day and made several threats along the way. iPhone has no settings to block. ATT&T has no settings to block; but, when they heard of the threats, they said file a police report... and of course there were further options to find this person.

As interesting aside is the possibility of collecting a $10,000 fine for catching someone violating the federal do not call list. So far, this bi*** has only called me nine times. With any effort, I'd bet she'll get it up to 99.

I'm f****ng unemployed. I have plenty of time to pursue this lady.

Telemarketer
I have been receiving calls from these 'card services' telemarketers for over a year now. I have been blocking each number they have called with (over 35 at this point). And I have been filing complaints with the FTC Do Not Call Registry and the FCC complaint site, to no avail. I do suggest you all do the same, and do not talk to them or call them back.

But to really get some attention, I created a petition on the White House We The People site. Please go there and sign it, we have to get the word out any way we can:

That's the way to do it. It's the only way I found to stop their annoying calls.Keep it up and you will be taken off their robodialer list! The scammers soon learn there is no money to be made calling your number.

I forgot to mention I always portray my character as an elderly person (not far from the truth) because the elderly and the gullible are the persons the "card services" scammers target.

The info can be found on 800notes 813 444 5700  page 4,  25 Aug and following posts. If you Google my name and read some of the other posts you will see others had some excellent replying ideas. One of the main ideas is not letting them know they've been had .Sound sincere and play it out for all it's worth! It's hard not to laugh, especially if others are in the room. After a while they're annoying calls will end and the fun will be over. I do sort of miss them. NOT REALLY!!!!!    Have fun!

I am getting calls from this number and a 269 area code also. It's the same company don't bother telling or pushing the button to be removed off the list it never happens and they just keep calling. Don't answer the phone if you don't know the number of who is calling.... That's why we have voicemail!!
