I got a call from this # and my caller i.d. says Walmart. I  still don't answer.

I have a friend call from out of state but the caller id states 252-288-3009.  I know it is not my friend's phone number, but when I answer it is my friend who is in an entirely different state.  Any idea what is going on?

this number calls almost every night.  does not leave message if answering machine picks up.

Keeps calling, called ID says North Carolina, we don't answer, they don't leave message, very annoying!

They called me 4 times today and left no message.  I answered once and there was no one there.  I called them back and someone named Luella answered, I asked where she was from and she said that she was with a "make a child wish".  I told her that I was on the do not call list and if they called again I would report them.  If I want to make a donation I know how to do it, and over the phone is not how.

Several calls recently.  Not answered until now.  This # called @ 7:57pm June 24,2010.  Female on other end was overly 'sweet' with a 'very southern accent' calling me by my son's name acting like she knew us well.  She said she was calling for some 'wish' foundation and was wanting a commitment for money to be used for mentally ill children so that they could have a 'final wish' before they died.  When I asked for literature to be sent so I could make a decision, she said they have literature but could only send it opon upon receipt of credit card number and a gift.  I said, again, send me something to read regarding what is being done so I can consider it.  She said she would sign us up for the least donation and would need my card number.  I said, 'no, thanks' and hung up.

What can be done to get this stopped?

I just got a call @ 8:46 pm about the make a wish line but to me it sounded fake they wanted my credit card number and said that they would send me the information by mail and on the caller id it was under north carolina.....i honestly think that is fake !!!!!

Same thing.  Started about a two weeks ago.  Caller ID says North Carolina and they never leave a message

Caller ID of "North Carolina" began calling a week or so ago.  Dillon wouldn't say what he wanted.  He was told we're on "no call list."  Said he'd call another day.  Told him to "have fun."

No message, no name...annoying.

This number calls every day.  No one is ever on the other end.

Have gotten numerous calls from this number but I don't answer.  Caller ID says "North Carolina".  Googled number and various reports say that it's either someone selling magazines, a FAKE call from Make-A-Wish and another reported that the caller is preying on senior citizens.

We get frequent calls from this number. We never pick up unavailable calls or calls we don't recognize.
This caller never leaves a message. I marked my number private at 11:36 p.m. at night and called the number back. A machine picks up and says" Hello, we are currenlty closed. Please leave a number in our general mailbox." There is no identification of the called on the recording.

Keeps calling... we don't pick up unavailable ID's.  Anybody know who this is?

I received a call on the home phone asking for my husbands full name and she said that she was Shirlene with CIS. My husband said to hang up that anyone who knew him. Knew to contact his cell. Strange.

Got a call today from this number.  Looked it up and found this webpage and other people who were getting a call from this number.   Just curious what part of N.C. the 252 is from.   Guess that would be easy to find out though.

ID says North Carolina, no message but calls several times a day.  I blocked the number so calls can no longer come through.  Maybe they'll get the message....

I called this number back on Skype, which reports only a 000 number to them on caller ID and was put in a que.  When they got to me the person answering identified his name as Jason with the Kids Wish Network.

Identifies as North Carolina on Caller ID.

Got a call yesterday and this morning from this number.  No message left yesterday and the caller hung up after I said hello 2-3 times this morning.  We have family & friends in NC, but I wondered who it was because I didn't recognize the number.  Whitepages.com identifies this number as a cell phone in New Bern, NC.  We don't know anyone there.  Glad to see the info on this site, now I know to ignore calls from the number.

Calls everyday numerous times tired of it.  Finally got a person told them to calling.  Said they were from Make a Wish Foundation.  Told them to quit calling.

I've been getting several calls from this number recently.  Finally, yesterday evening I picked up and spoke to someone.  The lady on the other line was very sweet and said she was calling from "Kids Wish Network" and was wondering if I would make a donation to make a dying child's wish come true.  I asked if she could refer me to their website so I could get further information, but instead she told me that if I did not donate right away, a child could die without their wish coming true.  Can you believe that nonsense??  When I asked again if she could give me the website she gave me attitude and said something like, "I can't give you that information."  So I said, "You don't have a website???"  And then she said "I think it's kwn.org or something."  I checked out the website and it does not exist.  However, Kids Wish Network is a legitimate charity.  I suspect that the person calling is not legitimately from the Kids Wish Network, particularly because others have reported that these people are calling saying they are from other charities as well.  DO NOT DONATE OVER THE PHONE!

this number called me, asked for my dad and I said "no he's not here" then she asked if I was the mrs. of the family and I'm all no I'm the daughter of the man your asking for and the whole time I was demanding to know who it was I asked multiple times and she wouldn't tell me but she could ask me who I was, it was like she hung up on me. I am really mad.

This number has started calling me at least once a day.  Like everyone else, I don't answer if I do not know the number.  Caller ID says North Carolina and they never leave a message.  Does the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY WORK??????  I've been getting a lot of unsolicited calls recently, very annoying.

i got a call for my boyfriend ,and i told thim he was not here ,anyways they hanged up. i looked the number up on the internet ,and it says its from a cell phone ,and the caller id said north carolina .so i called the number back ,and a woman answerd ,and told me this was the make a wish foundation . i told her we never donate over the phone .we never donate over the phone . its a scam.

My mom keeps getting calls from this number and no one is ever on the line.
