These people cannot make you loose your job they're just trying to scare you into wiring you money DO NOT DO IT!! It's pretty scary so I changed my bank account number. Change whatever you guys/girls can so they can no longer know that info. Tell them to j*** off! They'll do whatever they can to get your money and seriously no Legit company would harass you like that tell them to send it in writing then you will send them "their" $$!

Ive been getting phone calls from a 347 number saying i have a loan for 300 and i owe them 5 something and i knew i didnt and i knew it sounded fishy when they said pay it back by going to get a money pak and pay them that way. Someone by the name of chris marshall from marshall law & associates.

Just call FBI, police report, federdal trade commission, set up Inedifty theft for federdal trade commission, credit report, bank and chex system.  Set up fraud alert credit report for 90 days if provide police report paper add 7 year  and  call your legal very important. I have recieved a call this morning from this idiot telll me he's from Benjamin and Associates and for me to hold on for a secong the boss Mr Benjamin wants to address me personally. I say ok and he acts like he put me on hold. Then the same voice comes back on and says That I am so and so and he has my social my address my phone number he just needs to know my employer before he sends off the afidavat and get the warrants issued. He says he is handling the lawsuit against me and then I blew it. I told him that he was a f****ng idiot civil lawsuits do not issue warrants only subpeonas, and that if he was a lawyer he would know that the last thing he can do is call the person he is suing and then he hung up on me. I waited a few minutes then called his stupid a** back and he answers under another law firm's name. I told him he needed to find somewhere to hide cause they were racing his signal with gps tracking and he is going down. He hung up. I calledSocial Security, Off of the Inspector General, FBI, and the local law authorities. He has been reported and I even told them this idiot will answer the phone just call him and for them to google the number like I did and see how many others he hasdone this to. Let's see what happens.

Check your credit report and put a fraud alert on your accounts

Contact the social security office near you and tell them what's going on and that these people have your full ssn without your consent and see if they can help, cause that could be trouble for you down the road   if they have it... then who knows who else has it ????  check your credit report for changes or bogus claims against you

I recived a call from this number he left a message on my phone. I had one middle eastern answer the phone and  was tranfered to another  Man who stated he was a lawyer and was going to get in touch with my company to have money taken out for a loan i didn't have. he did have the last 4 of my ss#. Kind of freaked me out..

I too had a payday loan and thought that it was ligit too and they scammed me for $490. I just read all of these posts and called them and the Mr. Benjamin told me yes it is a scam. Be very aware of these people they were mad because I closed my checking account for fraud. The day after I closed my account they told me they had a warrant out for my arrest.

I took have gotten threats from this phone number stating they were going to throw me in jail on federal fraud. I had an attorney call this person who called himself Victor Benjamin and he would not pick up or return the call.

you need to close your bank account and reopen a new one. These people are bad...They have called me yesterday and today and when you dont give them what they want they get very angery.....I was called everything under the sun just about an hour ago......Its a scam.

Ok, I'm fallen into the ranks of the harrassed.  This idiot Jeff Foster called and threatened me with legal action in a phone message.  Middleastern for sure.  When I called back, it went to VM - he was "on a conference call" - said it was Victor Benjamin (dual personality?) . I left a message with my name and phone #, told him to lose both of them or I'd report him to the FCC - going to do it anyway.

These people called me out of the blue one day while I was at work. They read me an over the phone affadavit as mentioned before. The only shi*ty thing is I actually had a previous payday loan and thought this could be legit. I have paid these people 470 dollars!!! And they claim I owe them 705. Iam extremely pisaed off now what do I do. They still keep callin me and harrassing me at work they call at least 12 times a day and threaten me with arrest and the possibilty of losing my job, I will look in to this matter more and doing everything in my  power to make sure thesw people get whats comin to em!

I keep getting call from a guy named chris matthews. says he has my SS number and so on... told him i was going to call the cops said he was going to come to where i worked and told him i didnt workk and again i said i would call the cops and he hung up! hard to under stand him.

Called my office number (instead of another one which is correct) and asked for an employee who was not at work at that moment.  Gentleman sounded middle eastern and said his name was Jeff Foster.  It was very hard to understand him.  I  took message and will pass it on to the employee the next time she is at work.

I also have been called - probably 10 times a day for weeks. They called my boss and the HR department at my office threatening that if I did not call them back to take care of this matter they were going to issue a warrant for my arrest. They are definitely middle eastern and hard to understand.

What is the actual law regarding collectors calling and harrassing someone both on the cell phone and at work? Can anyone provide me some information so I can get this stopped?

Look everyone it is a SCAM. They are getting your number, bank info, address & s.s. #'s from a list that is sold to them. The list is compiled on from information that has been put on some site(s). My husband and I recently tried applying for a cash advance payday type loan, but we were turned down. This is how they got my husband's info. They basically did what all of those telemarketing companies out there do, they bought a list of names of people who have visited a loan sites, payday loans sites, cash advance sites and etc... the list would have also included information about us that we had provided on those sites like our names, address, place of business, s.s. #, bank info and etc... YES this is illegal, selling our personal info to them, but they will probably get away with it.

The point is they ARE scammers, and they ARE hoping that someone WILL fall for this scam and pay them money. It is stupid... and I saw right through it when they were calling, but not everyone thinks like I do. There are people out there who might think this is real, and some who might really give these scammers money. The sad thing is that even if ONE person does give them money, it will make all of this worth it to the scammers, and they will keep trying it. I mean thousands of people fell for those mail and then email scams... asking you to deposit thousands of dollars into your bank account, keep a few hundred, and then send them a personal check for the remaining thousands of dollars... how could anyone fall for that scam, but TONS of people did... Anyway I have contacted my local police, and I will be contacting federal offices as well since I am sure these scammers are probably located IN India or something and not in NC.  

They had called us 3 times, My husband took the first call but couldn't really understand them, and I took the other 2 calls. When they started telling ME HIS S.S. #, and then list out bank, I knew it was a scam or something, because legally NO REAL company would risk violating someone's privacy rights and etc... by telling a stranger that person's info like they did. They did not know WHO I was when talking to me, yet they told me his (husbands) bank info and ss#. So then on the third call, after calling me a c**t and a b***h LOL, I told them I would be calling the police and reporting them and these calls for harassment. They have not called back since. I did call the police and they took a report, I am now waiting to hear back from them.

I just got ANOTHER call from these idiots. My guess is the accent is Iranian I cant understand a damn thing they are saying. After being on the phone about this "lawsuit" they are saying I got a payday loan Online and never repaid. I APPLIED for a loan and decided to go into an actual loan place to do business. So obviously I put in all my info, ss, cell, address, work, BANK! I have since changed accounts since I got a call from someone I couldn't understand after I applied, it seemed way too shady. These phone calls are completely BOGUS ... more annoying and frustrating than anything else.

I got the same call,except his name was Alex Brown? Heavy Indian accent. The number is calling from NORTH CAROLINA. I got a similar call from California last week, different name. When i told him he was scamming me,to not call again that i am reporting this number and name and fowarding all messages to the FBI internet fraud division,he became very irate,starting yelling and cussing even hung up on me. So i called him back 8 times and harrased him and recorded all the information. I live in Texas,and I am not a criminal so any information on me is public record and I'm sure the official would be banging down my door to get me...because my used my address to file my taxes and everything else....phone,utilities...ect. REPORT THIS TO FBI FRAUD DIVISION!!!!! LET'S SHUT THEM DOWN!!!

well i looked in to it there is no Marshall & Associates law firm even in Wilson NC nor even in the states i don't get how he knows my place if work or even my name and my SSN i'm am getting pissed he said he is going to put a warrant of for my arrest if i don't call him back so i called him back and said i have no clue y he is calling me and if he calls me one more time i will track him down and sue him for Harassment and ID theft plus i'm living in AZ
