Received a call from this number : 252-378-9113. They are offering a 'free' Home Security systems stating that FBI reports show an increase of theft in my area. Sounds like a scam - probably is a scam. I won't answer numbers I don't recognize. Pressing any of their 'do not call' options doesn't work either - by pressing their 'do not call' option you're confirming they have a valid working number. I choose to ignore any calls I don't recognize.
I just got a call on my cell from this #. Only 2 people know my cell # and it was not them.
Got the usual call on my cell from security company looking to place a sign in my yard. This may be similar to the Yellow Pages United Scam in method, so don't say anything when they call, especially your address. See this:
Western NY just now...didnt answer no message left.
Scammers trying the "home security" angle....LOL
Just got 2 calls NY # live in FL. Didn't answer either.
Just recieved a call from this number. Being as it is a new cell phone and I only gave it out to one person and that was an ad on craigslist for a personal asst job. So beware...
me too! called my florida cell phone, no message
Same thing and I'm here in Columbus, Ohio... 2 calls in a row and I didn't answer.
Western NY here. Just got two calls in a row from that number, didn't answer either.
Received a call from 252-378-9113, same thing as many people here getting though no caller info just # and they left no message. When called back says # has been disconnected or is no longer in service at this time.. Be aware looks like a outbreak of calls in a few days. Were in Florida also.
Someone is making some sort of profit out of our phone numbers while we get stuck with the annoying calls, seems to me like we got the sucky end of the stick.
People be aware when Department Stores ask you for your phone number I had Bath & Body Works and Burlington Coat Factory ask me for my phone number and in the rush of getting out the store i gave it to them and then i started getting this annoying calls... So my advised is, be carefull who yo give your phone number to because just like your emails so can your phone be given to scammers.
Are you sure you did not give your phone number to any department store who asked for a phone numbers instead of an email? Because I went to Burligton Coat Factory and they asked me for my phone number and i gave it to them without a hesitation and then that is when I got call from this number and just like You i looked it up and here i am telling you! I do not have a line phone my phone services comes from the Magic Jack the numbers that you are given through this service will be unlisted and cannot be added to telephone directory listings. So i know it was the department store who gave my phone number to this telemarketers.
did not answer, caller id said grenville, nc. no message left
I'm wondering if any of you have been applying for jobs on Craigslist. That is the only different thing I've done and then got a call from this number. It is blocked and I'm reporting it to the national do not call list.
They kept calling back on Skype after I declined, one right after the other. I finally just let it keep ringing (instead of hitting the "Decline" button to refuse the call). After a bit, it stopped with no more call backs. I guess the computer figured it would quit wasting its time and moved on to the next person -- "nobody home". When you hit "Decline" it knows somebody is there on the other end, so, duh, of course it called right back, knowing someone is there . . .
Brilliant! I love you! Are you married? If so, do you have a brother?
Igot a call from this number for me unkown. No message was left.
Home security system fraudulent call. You can never get to a live operator. Even if you press 2 to be removed, they call you back. And, likely sell your valid cell number to other fraudulent or telemarketers. What happened to my Do Not Call block?
They called me and and I answered. About 9 seconds of dead silence and then they just hang up.
Says it's from Greenville, NC on my iPhone
Got a call, but when I answered nobody was on the line. Said hello a few times, then was disconnected. If it is a telemarketer, I'm on the DNC list, so I'll absolutely tell them if they call back that I'll press charges if they call again.
Missed call, don't know the number
Got the call too.
This is a telemarketing number used by a company that sells home security systems. They didn't give the name of the company. And I hung up.
If u want the calls to stop ask them for there address; so u can bill them a 1000 dollars for your time. they will stop calling.
Got the same kind of call on my WORK cellphone, which is a number i don't give out. definitely a phishing scam and will get NO response from me.
These people should NOT have my number. This is so obviously a scam, the kid - sounded about 25 - answered the phone and I asked him where he got my number, he said from a referral. I asked him what it was and he said he didn't know. I asked to speak to his supervisor. He said there wasn't one. I asked him if he, then, was the supervisor, to which he replied by hanging up the phone. the fact that they have my number is worrisome to say the LEAST.
i got this call too! idk how they got my number but i didn't answer...hopefully they don't call back. how do i block this number on the iphone?
