These guys are running a very good scam and are threatening if you upset them.  I am glad you didn't fall for it. For anyone else, please be smart and stay away from this number! It's not work it, no matter what they are offering!

This number text me to buy my car and sent me check

same story as the others. wants to buy my car unseen and only used text messages to respond. wants to send cashiers check etc.etc... definate scammer.

Thanks so much guys...I sell all the time on craigslist. And I also sold several times to somebody who wasn't from my area. We did Paypal transfer and shipping...no problem. But this guy with this phone number was telling me right away he is buying and has his shipper pick up the item. He will send me a bank certified check and wait until it clears, ans so on, but he needs my full name, home address and private email address. That made me suspicious and look his phone number up on the Internet. I'm actually still in contact right now. I asked him where he is from that he would have to ship the item. still waiting for a reply. ........Don't fall for him!   I won't either!

You bet it's a scam. 100% every time. ANY time someone wants to do business, & they suggest Western Union, or any other form of wire transfer - Fraud! It's right on the Western Union money transfer form. It is NEVER to be used for business, buying over the internet, fee on a loan (which is a scam in itself), lottery win tax (also a scam), money to someone you met over the internet, an injured relative that you cannot verify being injured. If you aren't sending money to Mom, Dad, or your buddy Broseph, it's a scam.

Also received a text from this person wanting to buy an item on Craigslist via Paypal/Western Union.  Almost fell for it until I saw the Western Union demand which raised a red flag and I sarted googling it and found that it's a scam!

This person contacted me by text same story as amoeba thanks for the warning guys. This person is a scammer for sure!!!!!!

Message was sent to me via text. Same situation as Gabe, said they would send "bank certified check", then will pick up item by their shipper once check is cashed. Just need "name, check mailing address, and email". Yeah, scammer for sure!

They said they would send me a check and wait for it to clear at my bank before we ship it. I then asked what state is this going too and They replied by telling me dont worry about it and we they'll set up the pick up. Pretty much told him no deal.

I got text messages from this number. Wanted to buy my item for full price but wanted a lot of my information first. Thanks folks for posting this and warning me off. I told him(her?) to just go away.

This phone number belongs to a craigs list scamer. Wanted personal information and bank information, do not reply to him.

I JUST got done telling these people to take a leap off the nearest bridge. Waste of time.

It's a craigs list scammer. Just sent me texts only and wanted my Paypal account info w/o even seeing the product.
