i have been receiving multiple calls every day for the past four days from this phone number. typically it shows up on my caller id with no area code. the last phone call, my caller id showed an area code (253) and they inadvertently left a message. it was a woman who sounded like she thought that a person had picked up the phone rather than voice mail.

the day before i received phone calls from 212-4375, i was receiving multiple calls a day during similar times from 818-456-1234. that phone number was calling me for a week before 212-4375 began calling. not sure if it's related, but i'm curious if other people may have been experiencing the same thing.

I have been getting this call EVERY DAY!!  I have received calls from 8:30 am to 9:00 pm EST..

No one is on the other end of the call..  Very annoying..

These people claim to be credit repair people..Homeowners Credit Repair Services out of Santa Ana California.  Asked for my Social security number and HAD my address, wanted my email as well. DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE OVER THE PHONE.  THEY WILL SCAM YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

This number 212-4375 has been calling me nonstop for the past 3 weeks. I even received a call at 8 am (eastern time) on a saturday.. I picked up once and had someone asking for a different person and then they hung up on me.

I had a gentleman, or lack there of, from 212-4375 call my phone twice last night.  No message the first time, second time I answered the phone.  He asked for me, using only my first name.  Said who he was and offered to help raise my credit score 150 points in just three weeks/months (don't remember).  I was caught off guard, asked where he found my phone number (because it was my cell phone) and said off of my credit report.  All three agencies report it.  Scary to think that he might have a copy of my credit report.  I said no thanks, he made some rude comment back to me and hung up.  I called the number back to see what happened and was promted to enter in a security code.  SCAM!

Same experience as the others here.  For me, it doesn't show the area code and when I tried to call it back, I was given a vm stating the number was no longer in service

i am getting calls from the same number 212-4375 no area code, they are asking about a person called mary, but it is not my name. I am keep asking them where you are located and company name, phone..etc. they keep handging on me.  I know this is scam but these guys are wasting my cell phone min, by calling in the day time. I thought of changing my phone number, but after seeing this forum i am releaved.

I had the exact same experience as Rachel.  

After a few calls from this number, I answered the phone (hopefully to get rid of them once and for all).  A man asked for my husband by name, and when I said, "He isn't available.  May I help you? He hung up on me.

I received a call from Vincent Cooper (VERY heavy Indian accent) last night around 6 pm CST.  He went through the whole spill about how he could reduce my mortgage loan on percentage points.  He had all of my information.  He asked a few questions then asked, "What is your date of birth"  I told him I was not giving that information to him.  He said 'one moment, I will have my supervisor on the phone to give you, your rate quote'.  I waited.  He came back on and advised me "His supervisor was busy, but they would call me back today".  He gave me a toll free number 866-563-9165, however the caller id number was 562-3498 no Area Code.  I have not heard from them again.  He had all my info, except the pertinent info: SSN, DOB and so on.  SCAM!

These people have called me and pestered me repeatably, they say with a very thick accent that they can reduce my mortgage rate.  I told the guy not to call me again, he did, asked for me by my first name, I told him "just a second" and laid the phone down, 15 min. later i checked, they had hung up.
they are some sort of con-artist, and not very good ones at that.  Give them no information!

I've received the same call several times in the last couple of weeks.  I went along with them the last time and both of the (heavy Indian accented) gentlemen I spoke with said they were from Homeowners Credit Repair Services.  They were certain they could raise my credit score up to 150 points if I paid them $199.00 down and $99.00 per month for 6 months or the accelerated progam fees of $499.00 down and $79.00 per month for 3 months.  I gave them alot of bogus information to lead them on, but it was fun taking 20 minutes of their time.  They had my name and address but asked for my SS#, unsuccessfully, to get my credit report.  I also filed FCC form 1088 reporting their butts.

After receiving numerous calls from this number I pressed for more information from the thick accented caller.  He told me the name of the company he represented was AMR Home Loan Center and gave me a web address of Smartfundingcorp.com and after doing some research I learned that that web site is registered to a man named Ratan Baid.  If you look at the web site for AMRHomeloans.com note the similarity to the Smart Funding site. I also found that  a citation from the FCC dated 10/24/2006 was sent to Ratan Baid for violations of the communications act involving fax solicitations:

I also found that a loan from the import/export bank was made to Smart Funding Corp for the express purpose of setting up a call center in India (hence the accents).
