Flashes ALERT, I never answer the phone, caller never leaves message

Comes up Kent, WA. It's a medic alert scam. I also got the same call from 253-236-2698 back in August. Have both numbers blocked on my phone. Never answer numbers from area codes I don't recognize. Thanks again for 800 Notes assistance.

I've gotten the $3000 in free grocery coupons  thing too.  I waited till the guy finished his spiel and then told him he sounded like a Jamaican lottery scammer.  Which he did.  Area code said Washington state but he said he was in New York.  Which is stupid and a dead giveaway.  Just a scam to get your credit card number.  Directed against the elderly.    Next time it happens I'm going to record it and put it up on Youtube.  The Jamaican lottery scammers are being hit by the US government task force, so I think they are diversifying.

Received call from this number Nov 19, 2013 at 9:31 am. Caller ID says Alert. Had a recording about medic alert.  These calls are getting to be too annoying.  I registered on Do not call list in May 2013 and the calls are worse.

Report any 'scammer' calls to the FTC/DNC web site.  If they get enough complaints they will take action.  Sure, the DNC list is outgunned; due to FTC rules, etc.  But, please report them as opposed to screaming at them, returning their calls, etc.

I received a call from this number on 11/15, with the caller ID, Alert.  Similar caller ID's have been Senior Alert and Senior CW.  I, personally, have received senior scamming calls from six separate numbers, since 10/7.  Not a good idea to ever answer a call from a number, you don't recognize, and I never have.  They keep coming, though.  The reporting authorities are useless.  It has just become a fact of life in this world which rewards lying and lack of conscience and integrity.

I suspect that they are only to find out if someone says, "Hello".
Later, another call from, "Hi, this is Rachel from account services....".

As usual with scammers I made a complaint to the local Sheriff. It seems to help some, especially when they get caught in the act of disregarding the DNC.

Called leaving no message but no message left

Again annoying calls.  Call once then it redials and continues unable to speak to them to stop

Caller ID said "ALERT".  Did not answer, but message left sounded like a scam.

Report all you want, but it does no good, as the scammers just keep making up new false numbers, that can't be associated with them. The ONLY way to stop this, or at least slow it down, is to spread the word of these lowlifes to others, before they are taken advantage of. When the scammer's sources of revenue dries up, all of these annoying calls will stop.

If on a NO CALL LIST these people should NOT be calling according to FCC Regulations yet they are being a nuisance to people all over the country with these spam calls!!!
Apparently these people don't have to follow ANY laws and regulations according to their behavior.
Sad thing is that our beloved government and it's agencies are making it EASY for scum like this to use our communications system!

I am receiving calls from this number at the rate of every 2 hours. When I don't recognize the calling number (thru caller ID) I just pick up the phone and keep saying, "hello? Hello? hello? hello? hello? hello? hello?" If the caller starts to speak I just keep repeating it and eventually they give up. This number is not giving up.

What would it take for these pests to back off?

I hate these people.  I curse them for their abusive behavior they have unleashed on the world.  They are preying on "Senior Citizens" as their robocall recording  announces as soon as you answer your phone and say "Hello?" or some other greeting.  These losers are not in compliance with the National Do Not Call Registry.  I should not be surprised at the ever-increasing lameness of the universe........ but these bottom-feeders continue to call and they make me FURIOUS.    

I was so lucky about no annyoing calls anymore. Now started again!! It is terrible!!

Just got a call from Alert and didn't answer at all they call two to three times a week
..

They have called from several numbers - they change when you catch on to them. I told them one time that they should feel free to deliver their product, and I'm sure they would not mind the local sheriff's department and the state attorney general being here when they arrived . . . the guy started cussing me out ;)!!!

The Criminals are getting your numbers from the Do Not Call list! Contrary to the statement on the GOV DNC site saying, "No numbers on the Do Not Call Registry are being released to telemarketers and scammers.  If you tell the Government that  you are going to solicit via phone and you want to be in compliance with the DNC list, the telemarketer is required to download the Do Not Call  list to remove the phone numbers from their list. Once they download the list, the criminals will use the downloaded list to make calls since its all real and active numbers for mostly people who could fall for the scam. Like the elderly or slow.  Plus they are perfect victims as they already fell for the first one,  that is registering for a Do Not Call list that is GIVEN to scammers, with zero enforcement.

Called by this number a couple days ago.  I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.  I'm very glad to know I did the right thing by not answering.
