1 253 236 2819   constantly calling for medic alert

Just got a call from 253-236-2819.  Called ID said "IN AREA." I didn't answer. No message left.

Most phone companies have a service call Anonymous Call Rejection (ACR).  It blocks calls from anyone who tries to mask their identity or phone number, such as using PRIVATE CALLER or any of the others that show up. They get a message telling them that to complete the call they need to unblock their number and or identity.

With AT&T and Suddenlink, you turn on ACR by getting a dial tone and then pushing *77.  It is turned off by pushing *78.  I think I am going to turn on ACR to keep from getting anonymous calls like this.

Now they are calling me in CA.  Left a recording somehing about a medical alert.

Our call today was a recording about a medical alert system. Oddly, the caller ID said In Area, but the area code is unfamiliar to me. I'll look it up, but it doesn't make a difference. We are getting more and more of these calls in spite of being on the do not call list.

I received a call from 253-236-2819 on November 13, 2013 at 12:14 pm.  I answered, said hello a couple of times, but there was no one on the other end of the line.  I hung up and I bet they'll call me again tomorrow about the same time.  My caller ID said, "In Area."  I did not recognize the number.

It is a recording for medic alert system. Message say's press 1 for more information or press 5 to be removed from their list. I pressed 5 and the message kept going.

Answered call, no one replied on other end. Assume med alert sales.

@Mary:  I got the same CNAM 'In Area'.  Riiiiiiight.  NoMoRoBo killed the call before I could answer.

A call was recorded on my machine, identified the caller as "in area". Really????? area code isTacoma Washington,  I live in New England. Do people answer these calls?

Caller ID said Medicare Help.Recorded message selling medical devices.  Will report as have no interest in what they are selling and have never requested any calls or information.

Just lost a family member and thought "Medicare Help" on caller ID might have something to do with some of the  medical bills in the last few months of their life.  Seeing here the scam that it was, I'm thankful the ringing ceased before I was able to answer it.

Phone rang, by the time I got to it, they hung up... but then I listened as my phone message continued to the end and there was a static like a trace was on the call to see if someone picked up.  Thank you for all the 'heads up'.  Like our cars being programmed to tell NSA or others where we have been, how long we stayed, stops we made, and other private issues, that are no ones business,  the game is on.

when i checked on reverse lookup it says its a landline number but definately spam maybe spammers use their home number sometimes

I keep getting calls from this unknown company.  I tried to call back and no-one answers.  It is bothersome.  I am at work and I shut my phone off but somehow it comes back on.

I keep getting calls from this no#.  I don't know anyone in Washington. They keep calling while I am work.

I had several calls from this #, sometimes up to 3 to 4 times per day and as latte as 8:30 PM.
Since I don't know who they are, I don't answer the phone.  They don't leave a message, but sometimes they call right back.  Wish I can stop this kind of calls.........

I answered but no one said anything.  Like someone else on this board, I also recently lost a loved one.  Vultures.

Assume it was a telemarketer for, but have to share that I am ironically grateful.   They called within minutes of someone close to me passing away.   It was the only time in the day that they made a sound, as if to say 'Tommy may be calling, I need to pick that up'.   A few minutes later, they passed away.

Caller ID read: MEDICARE HELP - However, call did not come from Medicare!  It was a recording from an unknown company selling some type of "Alert" system, similar to the old "I've fallen and can't get up" commercials. Recording instructs you to press one number to reach/receive additional information, or press another number which indicates you're not interested. I hung up then blocked the number.

Just got one from them a few moments ago. No answer.
