Your phone company should have an "annoyance call bureau" that deals with these matters.  I know AT&T does (the number is 800-769-4099).  Call and follow the prompts.  Due to the phone system's built-in noise governor, using an air horn will probably do more damage to your own hearing than to the person at the other end.

Call from 253-242-9999. Did not recognize the number and ignored it. Called to the number back to request marketing list removal and got the message to 'Enter Security Code.

When I noticed the call it said Unassigned.  This call came to my UNLISTED/UNPUBLISHED home phone. They didn't leave a message, so I never returned the call.  It doesn't do any good to report these idiots, nothing ever happens.  I've given up reporting them cause it doesn't do any good.  This DNC list means nothing.  Seems such a waste of time.

Every day receiving call from a credit bureau (no name stated) saying I can get better services.  This number cannot be used to contact anyone.  Not a working number!!!  Ha

I will be reporting this number to the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISION, which is what everyone should do when scam artist call you. WWW.FTC.GOV. If everyone would repost these numbers the government will investigate and put these folks out of business and they will face huge FEDERAL FINES. God Bless

They called yesterday - to my unlisted home#! - I was out - called ID said, "Unassigned" like the others here.  When I called back, it rang forever - then a recorded voice asked me for a security code.   Schmucks.

i have gotten 3 calls in a row from ' rachel at card holder services' which i have pressed 3 several times to stop them and I am even on the  ' do not call list'  ...its harassing, time and time and time ,again and again and again! its automated.

What if you happened to be privy to some already reported stolen credit card and ID info and gave it to them when they ask for yours? That way when they attempt to use it a red flag should be raised drawing law enforcement attention to their operation.

Whenever I get a call like this I try to act really stupid and string them along with lots of false information to keep them talking as long as possible. The longer that they waste their time with me, the less time they have to bother someone else. They usually just hang up when they realize they are getting nowhere with me but I try to have some fun with them like a prank phone call in reverse. There is not really much else you can do to these scum so this is just my little way of f***ing with them.

No message left on voicemail.  Calls repeatedly recently, I do not answer.  I'm on the do-not-call-list so this is very annoying.

got a call today  id said unassigned...when I answered got no response.. Yelled some obscenities and hung up.

I got the call, it said "unassigned" on the id, when I pushed one for more information, the guy came on and would not tell me who he was with, when I kept on questioning him, he hung up on me!! Then when I called back, it asked for a security code, must be a scam...people need to use their brains to better society, not to scam people. These people will be judged by God one of these days...I guess that is their problem, they don't have God leading their lives to help them make better decisions! It is so sad!!

I just received a call with the screen saying"Unassigned." I have looked it up on line and found they want to reduce my credit card interest. My daughter did this a few years ago, and she got a bill for around $500, and without any results.  She tried to get this charge removed from her credit card without any luck. My advice is to look these humbers up on line to find out what they are all about. I just don't answer any call that I don't recognize the number. If it is important, they will leave a message, and I will get back with them. I get a lot of this kind of call every day, it is annoying, and I wish there was something we could do about it. I even get calls on my Tracphone that I only use when I am in my car out on the rode for emergeny type to use. I have the number logged where I can find it, I haven't memorized the number, and I have not given it out to any friend or family member. When I read the screen, it is a call like above. How did they get this number?
